Twitter Updates Week 1

Twitter Updates Week 1

Partly as a favor to those who are opposed to twitter:P , partly because I'm bored, and partly because I want to contribute to the communty, I'm going to post here the developer tweets. Here are all the ones to date:

White@DHStom (re: First beta Build) Working hard to get a 'limited-alpha' out next week, but that depends on how much we get done by tomorrow.

Hey! X( That's my job! I just added that one to the OP.

And weekly update threads sound good...I'll probably post around 5 updates a day, so by friday there'd be 25 posts worth of text in the OP.

Ok then, that's what I'll do

will there be some sort of an "auto-pilot" system in place using the mouse?
End of quote
Definatly...that's our de facto, with the keyboard commands being for people who want that as a secondary movement option.

Just put a new one up

... You misread 'found' as 'looking into', whereas I ment 'accidentally and randomly stumbled upon a dusty peice of unused code'. ...
End of BoogieBac's quote

No, I didn't misread...I did that on purpose, now that you point it out...

But now you've gone and posted a string that also avoids directly answering the implied underlying question: Is stealth/invisiblity/cloaking off the table for the Elemental base game? And, of course, the follow-up question: could stealth/invisiblity/cloaking be part of a future expansion pack, or is that just too much to ask for this generation of the codebase?

Thanks a lot Ky, keep it up.

Just so everyone know, I'm going out of town later today and will be gone all of next week. I will still be posting twitter updates (look for a new thread next week) but there will probably be some delay (it will be a vacation, after all).

So anyway, if it take a while for me to post an update, I apologize, but they will be up eventually.

At this point nothing is off the tabe (besides making Elemental an FPS)...it's all a matter of time and per-feature importance.

Thanks.

I must say, that's very reassuring. Maybe now we'll get some more activity on the forum... it appears to have stagnated recently.

So apparently twitter is approching WoW for number of deaths in result of use.

Just put a new update up.

Travel sucks. Especially United. Connecting flight got canceled, so we're stuck half way there. Took hours to get a new flight, then more hours to get our baggage, then even more to get a hotel. And our new flight isn't until almost 24 hours after our original one was supposed to be.
