None of my mods involving RaceConfig work

I'm running the gold edition of the game (came with DL, DA and TA). On both machines I have the game installed on the mod selection folder in the options menu is buggy and doesnt display mod names, just a selectable gray bar but Ive managed to enable them anyway.

All of the other mods I have made work perfectly 100% of the time so dont link me to the wiki or FAQ like the last site I asked this question on dispite saying this, I read them both already and cant find a solution. 

Nothing I mod in the Raceconfig.xml shows up ingame. I basicly just want to make the Iconian and Krynn less fail give how useless the espianoge bonuses are an just want to make some other minor tweaks to the other races using negative modifiers since a few feel to samey to me.

However even with mods enabled and everthing in the Raceconfig.xml file in the mod directory that matches where the default one goes in the default directory nothing changes. At first I thought that it was only the display that wasnt changing but I checked in gameplay and it was still not working.

Whats up with that?

Delete any existing custom race files from My Documents\My Games\GC2TwilightArnor. Those ones store customizations made at the race select screen and override any xml changes.

That worked but now whenever I select the terran alliance it goes to the custom race setup... I think i'm going to have to do a total reinstall...

having the same problem, when ever i select the race it goes to custom race set up, there are no files in the mygames that can be interfereing, anyone know how to fix this?

scratch that, sorted it: Race name has to be same as display name in the raceconfig file..........who knew lol
