QoT Minion Build

I've always used QoT in a Shield / Ground Spike build but thought I'd try something a little different last night. I was on Crucible and managed to get to level 20 and it wasn't bad at all.

Skills:

Level 1: Summon Shamble I
Level 2: Entourage I
Level 3: Bramble Shield I
Level 4: Summon Shamble II
Level 5: Entourage II
Level 6: Bramble Shield II
Level 7: Summon Shamble III
Level 8: Entourage III
Level 9: Bramble Shield III
Level 10: Summon Shamble IV
Level 11: Bramble Shield IV
Level 12: Mulch Shambler I
Level 13: Mulch Shambler II
Level 14: Morale I
Level 15: Mulch Shambler III
Level 16: Morale II
Level 17: Morale III
Level 18: Morale IV
Level 19: Morale V
Level 20: Morale VI

I decided to keep shield up to give me some survivability and also my team. I left Mulch Shambler quite late as i preferred to have Shield instead, to be honest i didn't really use it until we were knocking on the Citadels doors anyway. I maxed morale out to give my minions a little more staying power end game.

Favour:

I only have Blood of the Fallen so far but would use the Tome of Endurance. I prefer them to have permanent higher starting Health than relying on the Horn of Battle.

Items:

I started out with the Scaled Helm and Plate Visor and then upgraded them to Vlemish and Theurgists Cap. I completed the set with Hauberk of Life, Gloves of Fell-Darkur and Iron Walkers. I added Wand of Speed towards the end.

Idols:

Started out with Monk I, once I'd upgraded my 2 helms i saved for rank IV then went for Siegers. Mino's were once I'd bought everything else.

I was playing against a TB and Reg but the Reg was not mine specced, with just the TB's AOE to contend with my minions were able to ignore it and just push the TB back. When i was retreating the minions were continually damaging the following DG so i rarely had to fully retreat all game. It makes a nice change from my usual spec but i think a high level mines Reg might still have caused me major head aches even with all the minion buffs. Nonetheless really enjoyed it and i shall be using it again enemy DG's permitting.

To optimize your choosen build:
I usually go shield 1st, as with competent team mates you can kick people out of the lane nearly immediately. It's funny to see them come back at level 1 and you are level 3, and the "I cant wait until shield is nerfed" comments can be quite hilarious. It's also useful if you have an AI teammate in order to prevent an early farm kill.

For certain you do not need Shamblers 4. Reasoning: If you lose 4 shamblers at once you did somerthing wrong. Why pay for 4 shamblers when 2 will do? Also you should not wait until all 4 shamblers have died until you replace them. So really, Shamblers IV is better spent somewhere else.

Also, most Pantheon games rarely hit level 20, so you might want to start putting more in Morale earlier (instead of Mulch and Shamblers IV) to get that extra Oomph out of your minions.

On a personal opinion level
I am not a big fan of Mulch. QoT life is already pretty dismal and as such she is extremely vulnerable to burst damage. So basing your "stay alive" strategy on healing yourself in battle is pretty silly when you have shield.

I always try and get tribute. It does add up, especially when you figure you will be getting more assists than kills playing as QoT.
