this is part of the ironclad movement, we haven't figured out a way to go around this yet, it will happens from time to time. Have your ships back off and then reattack will get them going correctly. What is actually happening is they are following the ship while attacking it and the ship heads out of the gravity well trying to clear some distance. The ships behind it will peal off once they catch up.
only the english string was edited, which language are you using?
there is a file named EnabledMods.txt in the Mods-Entrenchment v1.03 folder. Delete this file and enable the mod. Please make sure your folder SoA2 03E1 is also in the Mods-Entrenchment v1.03 folder, which contains all the mod files.
i used the old readme and updated it i may have forgotten to update a few numbers
I was playing 1 on 1 with the AI as the Federation set on Normal... so it was pretty easy. Just keep sending the pirates after them so they don't get a chance to expand before you do. Works almost every time against a normal AI opponent.
I just wanted to take a look at stuff. More than anything I need to make a quick list of which ship is which. I'm glad to see the B'rel is tougher... but it doesn't cloak anymore??? Why not??
I'm gonna jack it up to unfair, or whatever it's called and go at it again in a little while. This time I think I'm gonna play Federation. Probably 2 vs 2 with the AI in a medium size system.
Any idea when we'll get the Federation Starbase? I liked the look of it, screw it if it's too big... it was supposed to hold half a dozen big ships, wasn't it??? It HAD to be big...lol
what difficultly was the AI on? how much research did you do?
we will get a better download, for the moment to keep track do not use this link as it does not track the number of downloads. We want to compare some numbers against the number of downloads.
Miranda with beams looks absolutely silly, but the excelsior i have not tried yet. These ships are all used a modified pulse particle we can revert them back to the original in the next patch
Cloak was removed becuase the code changed, and i rather have a cloak where i can see the ship and not the player against me in ico

I don't know if you mean me or LoTek, but I just posted mine answering his post. I was playing 1 on 1 in a small random system. I was Klingon, AI was federation set to normal. In about 2 hours I had 3/4ths of the system without seeing 1 Federation ship. The only thing I really researched was the other ships, I didn't go crazy with weapons or armor except where it was required to get a new ship.
I didn't think to check how the AI was set, but my guess is defensive, and what ships it did send out never got past the Cardassians... which BTW are tough, but a lot of fun. My own scouts set on auto only made it maybe 3 planets before they were gone. I like that... other worlds should be tough!!!
1 thing that really blew me away, and I wish I had taken a screen shot, I will next time if it happens, is when I took down the Pirate base. I took in 50-60 or so assorted frigates, a dozen cruisers, and 5 capital ships. I remember Stress saying you can do this by holding down the ~ key (I think), but this happened by itself... 3 capital ships were going at it with something Big, I think the Dominion ships, I wasn't really paying attention, I was having too much fun watching this, because the Pirate shot almost straight up, UP!!! And my ships followed it!!! I've never seen anything like it, this was beyond kiting, at least any I've seen, they were almost as high as the gravity grid itself if it was sideways... I don't know if you guys did that on purpose, or if it was a fluke, but whatever it was really cool!!!
Oh... last but perhaps the coolest thing I noticed... the flaming smoke trails!!!! OUTSTANDING!!!!!! The first time I saw it was taking down the first asteroid, one of the Cardassians took a good solid hit hit from 3 of my frigates, and suddenly here's this beautiful smoke trail coming off it.... I just sat and watched and grinned... It really looks good!!!!!!! I don't remember any other MOD having anything like it... and thinking about it, I don't know why no-one thought of it before... something so simple, yet it completely changes a battle... because now you KNOW which one is already hurt... and it just looks really cool!!!!!!

I can't wait to see the Romulans and Dominion brought up to entrenchment level!

The download link in the 1st post is broken, and the mirror posted above only pops up with advertisements and attempts to install spyware/adware, which McAfee is blocking. I have yet to find a way to get around this to actually download the file ![]()
Great job on the mod guys. It resurrected my SoaSE game. By the way, I have a lot of the Armada II voiceovers if you want them. Just PM me and we can see what we can do.

Does this mod incorporate the Sins Plus planets?
I'm downloading it now. Some guy came onto ICO and started spamming about it and it sounded interesting. If it's good, then I hope other people will play it over Ironclad Online.

Unfair and full research both of us.
We just tryed the battle again loading a savegame but with full upkeep unlocked and used.
We managed to seize the gravity well however the enemy starbase was preventing the planet to fall in our hands and that thing was fully upgrated (as ours).
It was -impossible- to take it down.
We had 12 ogrov each (so 24) and all fleets attacking it, the beast went from 305000 shields to only 297000 in some 5 minutes (mitigation 60~70%) and forced our ranks to repetitive retreats for repairs, needlees to say we didn't even scratched its hull of near 70000 points.
After some 15 minutes of rinse and repeat we quitted as the upkeep would have prevented us to be able to rebuild lost units in a useful time before the starbase autorepairs/regenerate, plus the AI probably has a starbase like that in every gravity well and this was the first planet we attaked.
Awesome work anyway, music, voices, icons, lcars. It was really fun playing!

if that ogrov was a non-trek ship it was not upgraded for that purpose, it will be replaced later with a different ship. the stations will need more adjusting but if i can bring it down in beta you can as well! you just need the right ship combo
the station is to scale, and if you think thats big you should see the fed starbase which is bigger. the planets in sins are smaller then they should be.
