White Council- GROSS posts...can you condense your threads? :)

The White Council only has one main thread which we post in so I don't think we are taking up too much forum space. I have suggested previously for Stardock to consider a separate Empires forum so that all the empiring posts could be diverted there rather than clog up the Galactic Forum.

Maybe you mean my posts. I do admit to posting quite a bit all around.

I made the same suggestion...yesterday I think. Not one person replied to the thread, which I took to mean noone cares. *shrug* I'd like to see the empire activities and roleplaying encouraged, but not at the expense of the main forum.

Actually it may mean noone saw it rather than noone cares. Weekends tend to be slow so many weren't even here.

Both of us keep our main threads for perusal. We, Anzac, and White council are three of the top empires that do not have seperate website and members only threads. I cannot speak for the other two, but on my part, as emporer of G.R.O.S.S. we don't because we believe we ought to support this site. We are Galciv empires and this is the site we should support. I have supported an empires forum but to date, the devs have been working on higher priorties. Now our main thread is 20 pages long. So for newbies, we usually keep a recruiting thread small, when it gets over 10-15 posts we let it die, and our main big thread. OUr strategies and stuff is in there for all to read. We also post humorous threads with humorous in theme news.
But I truly don't see the big deal. It's not like we are spamming or anything. All the truly important threads (bugs, announcements, are stickied at the top. All our threads have titles so you know what they are about. Don't punch em if you don't want to read em. It's not like we put up stealth threads with misleading titles just to get you to read.

CDG has offered you guys forum space already. We offer you the space because that is what we are all about. We started our website for this reason and we will keep doing so.

Forums can be open or private it is up to the Group. The main thing is you could have your own forums, with file area, even different forums for different topics whatever you wanted we would be happy to setup for any Empire that wants one. I feel that PHPBB forum software is far superior too this forum structure. (NO OFFENSE STARODOCK! :D) Stop in for a visit check us out. You have a forum layout in mind we will do it no problem at all.

I really appreciate the offer from the CDG empire, Desert Fox.

I was just thinking that it would be good if all this fun empire stuff was on the main site as well so that Galcivers (or potential Galcivers) could also enjoy them.

I agree with Ray. One of the great things about GalCiv is the community. If we all begin moving our empire threads to seperate forums it wouldn't be as much fun or as informatrive. I also like to keep an eye on GROSS.
