Heading For New Jersey

I finally made it back to the yard yesterday. I put my truck in the shop for serviceing and a couple of minor repairs. They finally finished up on it around 7:30 last night and I checked into the hotel for a shower and some rest. I'm still fighting this Summer cold.

This morning I have to go to the yard and chain down the fire truck I will be hauling to NJ. It's going to a port there where it will then be shipped off to one of our airfields in Iraq.

I really hate driving in NJ but right now any load is better than none so I'm not complaining.

Normally I would be there on Monday but good old PA won't allow oversized movement on Sunday so I'm in no big hurry to get going. Between today and tomorrow I'll wander over to the OH/PA line and be ready to roll through PA Monday so I can deliver in NJ on Tuesday morning.

Right now I am just trying to work up the motivation to get started and go chain the thing down. I'm feeling pretty lazy this morning, but I can't drag my feet too long. Besides, I'm getting hungry and the sooner I chain the thing down the sooner I will be at the truck stop eating a hot breakfast.

Ah well, can't put it off forever, guess I'll get going.

Good to "see" you Mason.   I know you will be glad to shake that summer cold.  Have a safe trip to NJ. |-) |-)

Ah, my home town. Let me know if Hoboken hasn't sunk yet.

Mason, what part of PA are you in? Are you in the Pittsburgh area?

Ok Mason, again missing for too long.  Yes, it is HOT or rainy or cold, but let us know you are still rolling and where.  I hope you were able to finally shake that summer cold.
