Minions

So how does this minion build actually work? Do you take only minion skills or rank 1 of for instance shield or Batswarm used. What are the weak and strong points, special things you need to remeber. Whats the skill order and items you need? Shadow, enlighten us!

Well I'm not an expert on minion builds but i'll tell you what I do for minion Oak.

At level 1 I always get ward

then at 2 I grab morale

I save the third point

4 is Ward and Morale

5 is either shield or soul power depending on how the games going.

6 morale

7 ward

8 morale

9 save or if your up to their citadel already grab last stand and have at it.

10 is morale and ward if its a slow game

11 now last stand if you didn't take it

12 Its usually over bye now but his aoe attack is a good choice to buff minion attack speed.

Now for items

Favor item:Ring of Divine might-10 extra attack power a minion isn't something to laugh at.

I start out buying the archer idol and minatuar idol...but if you want i suppose monks are viable but that 20 less damage from ring.

My next buy is monks if you didn't start out with them or archer and minatuars if you did.

After that its a good idea to buy banded armor and scaled helm.

Now upgrade you archer and monk idols to the highest grade you can minatuars if you want to but id rather use that gold elsewhere...

Now get Hauburk of life i think its called the 1750 gold chestplate is great for this build.

Now for one of the best items this build can get Gloves of Fell-Dakur this is one of the best minion items for a somewhat affordable price.

Some things to remember when using this build

You are VERY squishy early learn to use minions to harass effectively

Depending on the level of confrontation in you lane you should have the first tower down by level 3-4 try to take the lane enemies don't want as much.

EX: The mana lane in cataract is barely fought over it's where you want to be.

When you can TAKE OUT THEIR TOWERS this is NOT a demigod killing build it can but it's better to stick with killing the enemy buildings

This build is meant for Conquest or Fortress it could work in the other 2 but its better to use something else.

Try to always keep your wards up where creeps usually die

If an UB is running toward you early game....turn around and high tail it behind your towers send your minions in to harass him and hope he isn't going ooze...because if you fight a UB without minion harrassment first early game you will probably die unless they are new

Sedna isnt really a problem unless she goes pounce heal spam can't say much here except use those spirits to harrass it's fun and easy lol oh and stay away till she's at half hp and has healed once remember she has no aoe

Regulus this can either be the demigod you feed on or the most annoying bug you've ever been against generally just use minions to harrass and hope he doesn't stack hp

TB and fire TB wont hurt your minions to much early game to be honest they don't have enough hp remember you can move your spirits they can't move their ring of fire

Ice TB well i don't have a strat to counter this one to be honest good luck lol...

Erebus He's generally easy to harrass as long as he doesn't get mass charm

Minion erebus only had 1 game against this so i really don' have a strat sorry

Assassin Oak send your minions in and keep out of penitence distance then charge in when he's at half hp and he will run if he's smart...now some of you may be thinking "What but i want the kill" well this build isn't about killing it's about owning their citadel.

Minion Oak never really been against sorry

QoT same with sedna harrass and she probably will run I wouldn't worry to much about her aoes because she has to be in open form to use open form=lower defence and no shield yay.

Rook I honestly just swarm him with minions but sometime it works sometime it doesn't lol I don't go against many good Rooks so might not wanna listen to that one...

Well there you a basic guide of how they work Cya ingame sometime :P.

I didn't exactly mean this build, but very nice of you to post it anyway. I've seen some very nice Oak builds with minions. You might like to ook into the guide Oak the Damage Hose, it's a pretty fun build although I'm not sure how effective it is in real games. The creator atleast claimes great succes, I think you can find it at the guides compilation sticky.

So back to the topic, I'm talking about the new mostly Erebus minion strat that uses Horn of Battle to destroy towers citadels increasingly fast, being the most dangerous on Levithian, since the citadel lacks good tower support. First devised by TAG.

General speaking it's take minions and use horn of blasting as they run against the tower. Nearly any of the general demigods can do it but Oak and Erebus get more minions earlier so you don't have to buy totems. But it you purchase the totems then any general demigod can do it basically from level 1.

I think a minionl build for each of the general demigods is below and any of them can use the horn and destory towers quickly and or the citadel.

Erebus

1.) Bite 1

2.) Coven 1

3.) Improved Conversion 1

4.) Bite 2

5.) Batswarm 1

6.) Coven 2

7.) Bite 3

8.) Coven 3

9.) Improved Conversion 2

10.) Bite 4

11.) Improved Conversion 3 or Just take morale until you get bored.

Oak Minion Build

1.) Pentience

2,) Raise Dead Ward

3.) Soul Power

4.) Raise Dead Ward

5.) Divine Justice

6.) Surge of Faith

7.) Raise Dead Ward

8.) Pentience

9.) Pentience

10.) Raise Dead Ward

11.) Pentience

12.) Surge of Faith

QOT

1.) Bramble Shield 1

2.) Shamblers 1

3.) Entourage 1

4.) Bramble Shield 2

5.) Mulch Shambler

6.) Shambler 2

7.) Shamblers 3

8.) Bramble Shield 3

9.) Entourage 2

10.) Bramble Shield 4

11.) Entourage 3

12.) Shambler 4

13.) Compost

Senda.)

1.) Heal

2.) Pounce

3.) Healing Winds

4.) Heal 2

5.) Healing Winds 2

6.) Horn of the Yeti

7.) Heal 3

8.) Horn of the Yeti 2

9.) Magnificent Presence

10.) Horn of the Yeti 3

11.) Magnificent Presence 2

12.) Horn of the Yeti 4

Since Sedna Yeti's aren't the greatest you focus on the idol minions at the begining and Yeti's later when their not as bad. Sedna's ability such as Magnificent Presence and Healing Wind effect her idol minion anyways.

Favor item depends on your play style. If you have trouble at the beggining then Blood of the Fallen is fine to take and will let you last longer at the beggining giving you more time to get more gold and exp up. It also works well if you take priest as your starting item.  Horn of Battle is a excellent if you know you'll be fighting a tower rook or if you really hate towers as you can use it to make your minion invincible to tower for 10 seconds and it let's you regenerate hitpoints pretty fast allowing you to stay at the front line longer. But generally speaking while Horn of Battle makes it easier once your level 6 you can usually run up with a wave of creeps and minions and distroy the tower anyways pretty easily. Ring of Divine Might is also useful as it gives your minion a extra 10 damage and good if your demigod can slow down rivial demigod so your minion can actually kill them (Oak and Erebus and the best for this)

Lifekatana, I saw your question before. Would you mind if I delay answering it until after the "Battle the Developers"?

Erebus

1.) Bite 1

2.) Coven 1

3.) Improved Conversion 1

I think it's better to skip the first skill, then at level 2 you can grab conversion and coven together. Add in a Horn, and save up for a hauberk or forest ring, and you're better set for an earlier minion capacity.

The 1 level of bite at level 1 is better for the next 2 levels than having early minion capacity prior to level 3. It gives you some damage mitigation, some killing power, and a way of assisting your team mates early on. All of which are superior to getting your minion health upgraded by getting improved conversion at 2 with coven. In reality Improved conversion is not needed at all, and those skill points are better put into other abilities. You will still get you minions even without improved conversion, it just may take a full creep wave to get them. The only time getting conversion is needed is if you decide to not get Horn of Battle.

kinda silly to save the level 1 point, the first 3 levels come so fast anyway.
