OPTIONAL drop from lag

First off Demigod is a great game, and I really enjoy playing it online.

HOWEVER, I am network with other people, I have 48KBps upload speed, so not that great, but not horrible. The problem is whenever somone uploads something on the network, my ping will go through the roof for a bit, which brings up the "drop" screen. Most other games I have seen give the other playes the OPTION to drop a lagging player. This is the first I have played where it forcefully drops you if you lag over 10 seconds (or whatever the time limit is). So, I have been effcetively dropped from about 5-6 games so far, just for high lag during a short time period.

I think if you ask any player in general, which would they prefer, a teamate who lags for a few seconds, or an AI teamate, they woudl probably pick the one that lags for a short time.... So why not give the players the OPTION to drop. Would make the game a lot less frustrating for me, that is for sure...

Edit: This has happened to me 3 times today.... out of 4 games. After playing the game for 20 minutes, 10 seconds of lag is enough to ruin it all.
