[Suggestion] New favor item setting

Favor items, are usually a fun an interesting part of the game, they usually are to fit in with your build, or have interesting effects and make the game more worth playing.

 

But some favor items really really piss me off, for instance i just lost a game because my hammer rook partner couldnt hammer slam anything, they all had teleport favor items, and the teleport favors gave them easy kills at level 1 too, because you didnt know they were gonna teleport on top of you and at level 1 they dont have any stun abilities so i thought i was safe.

 

But to the suggestion, i think there should be a Simple favor item only setting

There are only 5 or 6 favor items, all with only passive stats or perks, like one with armor and health, one with health and hps, one with mana regen blah blah blah,  It would make the game more predictable and less WTF BULLSHIT DUDE

 

I know pros play with favor items off, but i think it would be acceptable to have simple favors only

im worried about the favor item that lets u instantly teleport small distances

I dont think players should be able to use it because certain demigods can gain HUGE advantages over other demigods depending on what demigod they are and its all situational and unncessecarily frustrating if you get the short end of the stick on who has what favor item

Blinknig is legit. Any demigod can use the Warpstone, which does exactly the same thing as the Cloak of Night. Learn to adapt. However do you fight an Erebus, who has the "Real" blink in this game?

This has nothing to do with adapting, nor am i saying anything about erebus' blink

Erebus is fine, but not with a blink and a teleport

Nor am i complaining about warpstone, if a player gets warpstone, theyre wasting a slot and 5.5k gold, and you cant get it until about level 10 unless you skimp out on gear and dont plan on pushing

 

EDIT: Go ahead and get a warpstone, id prefer you did and not spend it on something like catapults...imo catas > warpstone....

Balance is maintained because everyone has access to the same items, some are just better at using them than others.

No one Demigod becomes an immortal killing machine once they pick [Favour Item Your Complaining About]. Adapt.

If you don't like favor items, turn them off in settings? I don't see why we need a seperate 'noob only favor items' setting, with only buff to stats. Thats what items are for.

Edit: Removed original post because I was being a flaming ***hole. Shame on me.

 

The simple fact is that you got outplayed by people using warp items, and I can see why that would frustrate you. However, people who spend favor on a warp instead of, say, BotF, don't hold up as much in a straight-on fight. Also, remember that they can only jump in OR out of a battle, due to the 60 second cooldown on CotN. The solution to CotN ganking is simple: stay in a group, eliminating the opportunity for the opponent to set up a gank.

I wouldn't mind a setting that locks General/Assassin favor items and isntead limits players to using the Generic favor items.

I think it boils down to how well you use your setup. I use Cloak of Night in every fight. Its a great surprise to running enemies and a perfect escap strategy. However, I give up 800 HP from BotF, 700 MP from Staff of the Warmage and even 15% speed buff from Anklets.

Thats balance!

I cant tell you how many times I cursed at a Sniper Reg with Heavens Wrath favor Item.. It gives crazy burst damage in early levels and a definate kill if you are running back. Tower rook with Staff of renewal is another example. I even once saw an Oak with Wings of Seraphim giving out massive heals combined with his shield.

If you lose.. don't blame it on favor items. They are one of the best things in the game because the change the way people play their DGs (given the limited number of those we already have)
