Design a build around..

Bejewelled Goggles.

Quite possibly the most useless item in any game, ever. Now, I'm up for a laugh - I played a few games against AI whilst taking this item as my favour, trying to conjour up a single build that would give this favour item some use.. but it's actually not possible.

There can't be anyone out there that actually uses these, can there? Spec me a Goggle build :p

Okay, I'll give it a shot.  Eagle-Eye build:

  1. Snipe
  2. Sniper Scope
  3. Mines
  4. Snipe
  5. Mines
  6. Save
  7. Snipe + Mines
  8. Tracking Device
  9. Save
  10. Snipe + Mines

Totems of Revelation + Bejewelled Goggles.

Early Items:

Scaled Helm

Wand of Speed

Vlemish

Plenor Battlecrown

So... you have lots of vision, so what?  How do you make the most out of what is perhaps the least impressive stat to get high?  First of all, you can afford to go 'glass cannon' style, and use very little in the way of HP gear.  Keep in mind this means you pretty much always run away.

Secondly, you've got the vision to keep up the damage as often as possible.  Snipe often, and use your extra lead time on an incoming enemy to hide mine clustors.  Wear them down while staying pretty much out of sight. Since you are trying to stay out of direct DG combat, help your teammates by telling them the situation, or pinging the map for important things.  When possible, snipe enemies that are low on health, or sneak behind them and drop mines.

Buy more than 1 totem of revelation, and try to place them in important positions. Mine lanes, just outside where the creeps actually go, so your allies can lure enemies to these spots.

Uh, that's all I got, but I think it might be a slightly interesting thing to try, if you just want some lulz.

Why do you need gogles when you have tracking device skill? :cylon:

Tracking device you can only get at level 5, and doesn't work on people you aren't already aware of.

I like that :)

If only I was any good with a mine build :p

See now that is a nice build that I'm sure would be annoying to the other team, as they'll never see you heh.

They are useful if you're being a loner a bunch during the game.  Because it allows you to easily spot mines and incoming ambushes.
