Frigate factory wont produce? But I think I am doing something wrong...

Hi all, firstly thanks to all those that replied to my other post.

secondly, I bought the game and have jumped straight in to playing it.

 

Had my first rather un-nerving experience of the AI attacking and out-numbering me.

 

One thing I could not understand tho...

In my haste to get some attacking ships I went to my Frigate Factory and saw it wouldl allow me to build Flak Frigates.  I queued up 7 but none of them would build.

Does the building structure need to be in full health please as it was being attacked at the time.  But surely the buttons would be greyed out if I could not build but they were not.

 

Anyone know?

if the research is qued but not done, it will allow you to que ships, but the ships wont start building untill the research is finished.

and the qued research wont research till there are enough labs...

that all just takes time for things to finish up, but if you lost a lab with the research still qued, I can imagine that it would appear that the frig factory is not working...

I think that might be your problem.

 

que up a light frig, it should build even though the other things are in que.

Did you finish the research?

Normally, when you click the research, the button will not be grey out. But will not built until the reseach is done/.
