Download soase to a mac then install on PC?

Hi,

I am good at asking dumb questions!  :D

I've given up trying to find SOASE at a retail store so I want to buy SOASE and the expansion from the download.  However, my internet is from the bronze age and the download rate is awful!  My friend has excellent service, but uses a Mac.  So...is it possible to download the game to a Mac, put it on a memstick and then install it on my PC?  Has anyone else done this type of download?

generally, yes that will work fine as long as the usb stick drive is formatted on the pc side first.  the mac can handle the pc format, but not the other way around.

however.  impulse is used as the downloader app which is NOT mac compatible.  so, if the friend is running Windows on his Mac, then there is no issue at all.  they install impulse, login, and download and archive SINS.  move the archvie to a usb stick and then on to your computer.

Yes, you can do this by using Impulse Anywhere. Just put the file(s) you download from there on your USB drive with the Impulse installer and take them over to your machine.

My friend's friend has a PC laptop.  So we will get the game through his PC using the fast download!
