OT: Stardock Central's web browser

Do you use that?
I think it's reasonably fast, better than Opera 7, but some options, like pop-ups in IE, are quite annoying. Ability to have more than one window would help as well.
Not bad for free add-on to 45$ game :)

There's a reason it acts like IE...

it IS IE.

As for better than Opera, I'm not touching that one, I haven't used IE except when I have to for more than 3 years thanks to Opera.

I've just done a small test. Loading www.avault.com on my 350 MHz comp took ~6 ses in stardock's browser, ~7 sec in IE, and 16 sec in Opera. But Opera 5 was quite good I must admit. Later versions getting RAM-hungry imo.

Speed isn't even on my radar compared to the power of 'F12-refuse pop up windows' & 'open window in background'.

And when you've got 512MB DDR RAM, RAM hungry isn't much of a consideration.

I further suspect that much of Opera's slowness comes from it getting hung up on having to work around all the IE specific garbage in too many web pages (this one included).
