Matchmaking

I just had the worst MP experience of my life. As in would rather be playing counterstrike with a bunch of 14 y/o using hax. I tried pantheon for the first time in forever and it sucked @ss. The matchmaking was totally hosed. Ended up with two guys playing first game ever against seasoned vets. The noobs bailed on me so I got two ai. It was terrible! I love this game and that experience made me almost not want to play. Imagine if it was my first or second time! How high up on the priority list is matchmaking with similar skill level. This is worse than going to the custom game lobby with all the pros hosting games that say noobs only. And you know who you are...

Yes there are problems in matchmaking, but hopefully patch 1.2 will sort that out. It's important that we are able to play people of roughly the same skill-level.

But, "pros" hosting newbs only games? Really, provide som evidence please. I don't know who the "pros" are in the first place, but assuming you mean the top in the ladder or something. Do you really mean that the best players make trap games to meet noobs? What prevents bigger "noobs" to join their side an making them lose?

I guess I should clarify. It seems that people that have 75+ games jumping in on noob games or hosting them. People who are obviously not noobs. Maybe I shouldnt have said "pros", however the disparity of the skill levels is so great that they might as well be.

As for evidence, go into a noob game and check the stats on the people in the game.

Thanks for the reply, I also hope that the 1.2 patch sorts this out. This is by far my favorite game right now, and I see a large user base critical to the success and enjoyability of a game I would like to be able to play for a long time. I would hate to see new people alienated by never being able to win or getting raped their first couple of games.
