Need clarification on the Buy game and download it to option

Ok, im just a little confused. When I buy the game off of this site, and choose the download option also, am I charged anything extra? Or am I buying the game, for the correct price, and getting the download option as a free gift for buying the game? Also, I live in California, so what would the shipping and handling amount to?
