Empire List question

i noticed there is a Yor, Drengin, Torian, Alterian and Arcean empire in the empire list, but they are closed, and they have no members. Will they be used for anything?

oh wow! there is an empire called the "Sun Gods"! just one "s" different from mine! good thing he didnt make his the "Sun God" empire or else i would have had to name mine "Sun Gods" empire, which just sounds dumb!
i like his logo, but i still like my sun logo better
