Lagging, only online

Okay, so I have plenty of speed when it comes to my upload/download speeds. But when I play on Skirmish with no other humans, I don't lag at all. However, when I play online with my friends I lag when I hit mid/late-game...

Also, it's not normal lag (i.e. internet based lag) due to the fact that the units don't freeze, just my computer doesn't notice me clicking until 2-3 seconds later...

Anyone know why this is?

What graphical settings do you play on?

Are you playing against people or with them, comp stomping?

How good is everyone elses ping?

These questions will find your answer...

What's a Jewbat?  If you could play any race you wanted to in Sins, does that mean that you would play the Nazis?

just a thought. maybe does it have anything to do with the speed of your friends' internet? because i do notice that in some online games that when someone has a slow connection, everybody seems to get affected.

First of all, bugger off Cent. Everyone thinks that and I think very lowly of those who do. So you failed the test.

Secondly,  I run on lowest graphics to be safe and I vary between comp stomping and against humans. I lag in both. And ping ranges anywhere from 50-500 depending on who I play with. Same issue, it lags mid-game.

End of Jewbat's quote

Your name just strikes me as being some sort of an ethnic slur, is all.  I think rather lowly of anti-semites.

if the ping climbs as the game goes on, you may have an ISP that limits continual bandwith.

Also, make sure to update drivers, as always... video, sound and motherboard.  More ram wouldn't hurt eather :-"

most likely the fleets are gettting to much for your comp setting turn them all down should reduce the lag

the la you talk about is called System lag meaning your comp cant handle your current settings as i said turn them down or just do a Ram upgrade and clear all the crap from your Cache basic give the comp a complete clean i had problems like that and when i ran CCleaner is found over 5gig of cache files also do a malware check that will screw you over aswell
