Question about AI not asking me to make peace with someone else

after finishing my last game, i relized that the AI never has asked me to make peace with someone else. did anyone ever get a civilization asking you to make peace with different civilization that you are at war with?

I relized this after i was attacking the Yor, who in turn where allied with the Arceans, and i had to most powerfull military in the game at the time. everyturn i attacked the Yor, the Arceans would say that i was attacking their allies and say that because of this that they are going to wage war with me. i was too busy with the Yor, so i decided to offer the Arceans a tradegood to leave me alone while I attack their allies -But instead, the arceans wanted peace so bad, that i was able to take ALL of their money and ALL of their Influence points! I was thinking that i would have to give them something for peace!

This didnt happen just once, this happened about 5 turns in a row until i destroyed the Yor. everyturn was the same, i would attack a Yor planet, i would press endturn, the arceans would say that i was attacking their allies and they would wage war with me. then on my next turn, i wouldnt attack the arceans or anything, i would just ask them for peace (with me and the arceans, NOT me and the Yor) in exchange for all of their money. i would then attack a Yor planet again, and the Arceans would do the same thing all over again!

Shouldnt have the Arceans just instead of Bribed me to make peace with the Yor instead? Why would they wage war with me, and then at the same time want to get out of the war they just started?

Yes they should, but the ai doesn't seem to ask the player for 3-party treaties like 'attack the Yor' or 'make peace with the Altarians', although it will go to war if you attack their trade partners or allies.

I think this is one area of the game that has a lot of potential for improvement- to flesch it out more, so to speak. Id love to see them come to you ans "suggest" you attack the Yor with a fe credits. Currently, you might get messages from other civilzations indicating a percieved danger, but that seems to be it.

I've only had major races ask me to help them fight another race.

I've never had anyone ask me to make peace with another (tird party)

I think it would be cool, but how would the AI determine that peace is to their advantage?

The AI probably supports all wars (unless it's against themselves) because it is a drain on resources, therefore a good thing to their advantage.

Allies ask you to help them in a fight, other races sometimes suggest you attack or give money covertly to those who are at war with someone, but they never seem to pay you to attack someone. Alzandrion, did you see that?
