Gameplay Question

1) when attacking a planet, with the drop down ship list on the left, I like to direct my fighters/bombers to a specific target, but the ship list keeps refreshing itself and I can't scroll down fast enough to see the enemy ship or structure.  how do I work around this?

The Empire Tree doesn't move that much unless there are ships entering/leaving phase space (or loads of ships simultaneously disappear from detection). If you hold Alt while selecting one squadron, all other squadrons of the same type are selected (this also works for ships). Holding Shift at the same time will add ships/squadrons of another type to the units you have selected.

You could pause the game and then do all of your moves at once

Theres a button near the top of the UI that stacks the empire tree icons to save space, that should help a bit.

i am aware of the shift and alt buttons, but it doesn't work well for bombers and fighters who die and have to constantly be re-selected.
