v1.04 Bug - Economics

I was playing around a bit and decided to boost my economy a bit so I dropped a building that added a 5% increase to planetary economy and found it gave me nothing extra.

Earth is at 100% approval and all I saw was an increase in money going out.

What is going on?

I don't have enough details to give a sure answer. Would be nice to know what previous BC in revenue was and what is the total planetary econ bonus now. But, if I had to guess, you need at least 20 BC in revenue for a 5% increase to be seen in revenue. There is no rounding. Any fractional BCs are dropped. On the other hand, your spending capacity (by increasing economy, you also increase the total industrial output) is usually more than revenue in the early game especially, so the 5% might have been enough to spend extra BC there.

Sorry. :d

Before the building I had 80BC incoming from Earth and it was taking 104BC to keep the planet going. I finished the building and when I saw it, the income was still 80BC and the outgoing was 108BC.

I had calculated the outgoing increasing but I wanted the income to increase as well.

Thanks.

Is Earth PQ 19 or 20? There's a cap of 4xPQ to income. It sounds like you hit against the cap.

This is one of the bad side-effects of the taxes cap - sometimes a social project provides no benefit. I always thought that certain social projects, wonders, and resources should increase the taxes cap.
