A new god idea - The Doppelganger

Okay, basically a DG that has one main skill. His ability is to clone a nearby DG on cast. Can be ally or Foe. Each level up gives him a longer clone period. Say, 20 seconds at lvl1 thru to 1 minute at top level.

Other skills would be hp mana and movement speed upgrade, and I think an ability called "Doubt"

With his Doubt ability, the Doppelganger reflects all nearby targets fears back at them, decreasing their movement speed attack speed and experience gained. This would be a passive AOE skill. This would only take effect while in his shadow state (not clone)

The idea is that whatever dg you clone, you have all their abilities that they have for the clone period. Your mana and health remain the same what you had. Their skills use the same mana or health cost as the cloned dg.

If the cloned dg is a lvl 20 then you gain all his ability upon the clone. The drawback is that at lower levels you can only clone for short periods of time and the cooldown is longer. Upon leveling up, you gain a longer clone period, and a shorter clone cooldown period, until at lvl20 your cooldown equals your clone time.

 

This dude would be a shadow form in his normal state. He would not be cloning the benefits of the other gods items, just thier ability and auto attack. Exactly as if he were playing that god (with abilities they have chosen, and the standard auto attack damage) with his items equipped.\

When in his normal state, the Doppelganger would have an auto attack with little damage, and for the sake of balance, the movement speed and health and mana would need to be worked out by testing a beta of him.

while creative im not sure how usfull he is, I mean where does he rais above other dg's ? Doubt could do it but I dont know if it will be enough.

Hey, lol.

Another skill tree I thought of.

Elemental.

This ability lets the Doppelganger clone an Elemental of the target god. The elemental has 1/4 or 1/2 or 1/3 health of the targeted god (base health) each health level corresponding to to the level of the Doppelganger. The elemental can only do an auto attack and looks exactly the same as the god that is copied, except he is slightly transperant(see through). Elementals have no abilities and are used the same as a minions. 

The elemental is the same as a minion. Doppelganger can have up to 2 elementals at a time at TOP level. so level 5 he can summon 1 elemental (with 1/4 hp and damage of targeted dg). level 10 he can upgrade health and damage of elemental to 1/3. , level 15 he can summon up to 2 elementals- but only one at a time, and level 20 he upgrades health and damage of elementals to 1/2 of the copied (or shadowed) god.

Also, doppelganger can summon up to 1, 2, and 4 of cloned minions. For example, he clones sedna, summons 2 Yetis. Then clones QOT upon cooldown, and summons 2 shamblers.  If he clones a high level general  and hits their summon minion ability, then he will only get 1 minion of that level at a time.

Also, if the targeted god has not chosen a minion build, then he won't be able to summon any minions.... but as rook he could put up a few towers, then clone LE and bat swarm the hell outta there.(IF LE is nearby that is.)

He is a "general" but cannot have idols. Why? Because potentially on maxing Clone ability and Elemental ability, he could have 2 elemental DG's with 1/2 health and 1/2 damage, plus 4 summoned minions IF he plays his cards right.

All minions would live until killed, no matter weather doppelganger is in shadow form, clone form, or switching to a new clone form.If max minions and elementals have been summoned, then no more can be.

So potentially you could have a clone of UB, with 4 nightwalkers plus an elemental of Rook and an elemental of TB, both with 1/2 dg auto attack and health attributes. That's about as good as a general with all idols and minion build IMHO.

Elementals health and auto attack damage % is respective to the BASE health of the targeted demigod.

skill ideas (assassin based)...

he'd be weilding a sword.

Dual Strike
0.5 sec cast
Range: Tbs fireball
Recharge: 14 secs
Mana: med - high

Uses a clone of himself, striking twice with the one skill.
Dopplegangers clone appears at targets location and strikes for 200/350/500/650 dmg and slowing their movement speed by 5%/8%/11%/15%. The Dopplganger himself simultaneously strikes the area around him (current location of cast) dealing 100/200/300/400 dmg.

Vengeful Aid
0.8 sec cast
Range: Melee
Recharge: 12 secs
Mana: low - med

Uses a clone of himself, striking twice with the one skill.
You deal 150/300/450/600 dmg to target.
If you are under 50% of your max health, your clone mirrors the amount of dmg you deal with this skill.

Dopple Guard
0.1 sec cast
Range: Half of bat swarm (to the front and back of your current location)
Recharge: 16 secs
Mana: Med

When used, you and your clone slice outwards to the front and to the back of your location, slowly hazing back into your original location at skills end.
Skill lasts for 2 secs. During this time you are immune to all dmg.
You and your clone also deal 200/400/600 dmg to anything in their path. (works in the same way swarm does).

Flowing rage
1.5 secs cast
Range: melee (but if enemy moves afterwards, the clones appear at targets location successfully hitting)
Recharge: 10 secs
Mana: low

Doppleganger bring many of his clones to thrash at target consecutively one after the other. Hits cannot be avoided through movement.
You deal normal dmg, afterwards 2/3/4/5 clones hits your target consecutively in quick succession,
each dealing 40%/60%/80%/100% of your total attack dmg.

U need a story i  can make one in like 5 min. Anyways nice idea. He can steal and counter all other dgs. Its a great idea. Would love to see in dg! Anywasy ima post some ideas on him. For appeareance, i think he should look like all of the dgs at once. Like 1/4 his head wil be rooks and he could have erebus shoulder and regulus chest adn his body is always morphing around. As for abilities.....

Elemental Destruction: 100 mana, instant cast time, 5 sec cooldown. Target elemental will go to selected area and explode dealing 10/20/30 damag. He will leave behind a shadow ball or rift or some shit like that. Next dg that steps in or by it wille have elemental apear next to them. Only this elemental wil be full strenth( for 30 secs)
