Newbie question on Metaverse submission/scoring

I FINALLY finished my first GalCiv game after 2 weeks (it was a large map and I have a job, OK?) After the game ended, it said my score was ~3000, but it also said my Metaverse score was ~8000. Sounded strange to me. But I typed in my info to do the Metaverse submission, didn't get any confirmation that it succeeded, and I don't see my score in the Metaverse. I'm running 1.04a.062. Does it take time for your score to get merged into the Metaverse? And also, doesn't a score of 8,000 for one game on a large map sound way too high (AI was set to Normal)?

Scores show up immediately, so there's a problem there and you'll need to resubmit. Make sure the alias field is filled in with your 'Drizzt_DoUrden' and the email is the same one you registered GalCiv under.

If you're using 1.04062, there's going to be a big discrepancy between what is displayed in your game and what shows up on the metaverse due to a bug in the ingame display. (That 8K will actually show up as ~800 points!).

What you should do is update to 1.05069, load up your last turn, then submit. This accomplishes 2 important things: one, your score shown ingame will be correct and it will be much higher; two, you will get a confirmation if your metaverse sub worked or not.

Thanks Code Monkey. Tried everything you said but no luck. I upgraded to 1.05.069, loaded my last turn, and this time it told me my score was 3247 (7714 Mpts). I submitted to Metaverse, it told me it was successful, but still no score appears there. Also, the score still seems WAY too high for one game. Oh well ... so much for the Metaverse ...

Well, look up at the stickies for the 'Metaverse submission problems' thread and post your problem there. It might take a while, but T-Man (Patrick Ford) will look into your problem specifically to see if he can help.

Drizzt, as of the 1.05 version of the game, metaverse scores got alot higher so your 1.05 game may be quite normal

I finally got it to work. I originally purchased the GalCiv CD alone, then upgraded to Drengin.net, which gave a new serial number. I had to convert my serial number in the Metaverse to the new one from Drengin.net, and then the score appeared.
