Planet Quality and Sol

In the manual (Page 38) PQ 16 is described as Earth-like and PQ 13 is described as Mars. So why is Mars' PQ always 8 and Earth varies (16 - 20)???

Where are these PQ descriptions, because I can't find anything from PDF manual. I remember seeing them somewhere but when talked to my friend who tried game I couldn't find any description about PQ values.

You can find the copy in the printed manual. Just remember that 13+ is minimal colonization level for a general colony, and 15+ is the minimal colonization level for a confortable colony.

Anything at 12 or below can still have a colony installed, but requires extra maintence. As a reference, a PQ of 10 *is* Ceti Alpha V.

PQ is called class in the manual. If the classes were changed they wouldn't have used it in the manual, they even mantioned Earth's colonies on Mars in the backstory.

No printed manual. I just purchased download.

I know those limits but it would be nice to see what PQ14 for example was compared to.

The proper Mars (13) would be balanced by Earth at it's proper value always (16)

For my part, I've had a couple of games in which there have been _two_ 15+ PQ planets in the Sol system, and neither of them has been Mars (though one of them, of course, has been Earth).
