How do i make my on MOD?

I just bought the game this past saturday. I'm all ready hooked, i was suppose to start writing an english paper. so much for that too busy playin the game. How would I make my on MOD? I really wanna know how to do this.

You will need to install Stardock Central to see the forum. Its growing. And only a few threads on how to. But their coming. Also Go to the Library section via the www.galciv.com homepage. There are a few mods to play with.

My mistake! You can see the Mods forum with just your web browser. Black links on the right. So far the Galactic Council forum isn't there but i am sure it' ll make there too.
