Influence and donating ships

In my current game, there exists a powerful Minor Race. This race has exactly two systems, both of which are in the same sector. They had influence in that sector only, and the list of most influential races listed them as being dead last. I then built a couple of starbases in that sector and flipped its influence over to me. Now the list of most influential races lists these guys as number one!
They must have one hell of a PR firm.

Also:

In the same game, the Finger of God reached out and gave the Yor a class 35 planet (stupid Xenoarcheoligists!). In fact, this has happened three times already in this game, twice to the same planet! I had had the Yor nicely contained, but with the sudden grant of a class 35, they quickly started gettin' uppity. It wasn't long before the Arceans came crawling to me, whining about how they were getting hammered and could I pretty-please help them out. I had a couple of dreadnoughts lying about, each of which was worth any three of the Yor's best ships, so I gave them to the Acaeans to slow the Yor down while I set about getting things back under control. Unfortunately, once the ships were in the possession of the Arceans, they also took on the Arceans miserable stats and were quickly vaporized by the Yor. I'm not sure this is a "bug" as such, but it doesn't seem like reasonable behavior.

Blackbody, what it reflects is the civilization only advantages that you have ,that can't be gifted to the Arceans- your 10% HP bonus and 50% weapons bonus is for yuor ships alone. I agree that it might be preferable for a ship that is gifted to be reflective of its original makers or of yours, whichever is higher- as such, if I got a shitty ship, I would upgrade it using my civ tools- if I got a great ship, I don't have the capacity for further upgrade...

Sounds like they started building embassies and other culture buildings in order to counteract your influence. Not too mention building morale improvements so that they can breed like rabbits, which also raises influence by increased population. And if they turn into the I-League, their influence will get so high that they will be almost impossible to flip.

I believe that if you have a Shipyard or Advanced Quality Control, and you gift/sell a ship that was built on that planet, the Shipyard bonus is lost when you sell the ship. The "home planet" of a ship is changed when the ship changes hands. Can someone confirm this?

To be fair, shipyard bonuses should be kept when a ship is sold. Also, if I have a military resource, I should be allowed to pass along the bonus when I sell the ship.
