IconPackager 5 beta update 10/15/2009

Not Activated?

Hi

Just tried to install the new IconPackager beta update of 10/15/2009, and it said that my registration was invalid, im a object desktop subscriber.  I uninstalled my existing iconpackager 5 beta install , and  rebuit the impulse data files, and now it only shows iconpackager 4, and i cant install it under windows 7.  The install for iconpackager 5 is now gone from impulse?

Thanks for any help on this.

I'm having the same problem. It installed fine, but when trying to run, it asks for registration. I tried to enter my Ultimate OD key which is valid until March 2010 and it said the key was not valid. Looks like some other people here have had the same issue. I'll keep monitoring this thread for a fix.

the ultimate od  key is a one use - use for the od subscription, automatically covers all apps that come with it

Same problem here , update installed fine but it's asking for email/registration.<_<

I'm also good till March 2010

------Update------

OK, I think I fixed the problem:

In Impulse right click on IconPackager and view registration,

copy registration # to clipboard.

Now right click on IconPackager again and choose "run" (you should get the registration window)

Enter your email and paste your reg # into the appropriate fields and click Activate.

IconPackager should startup right-away

Worked for me....|-)

Thanks JG, that worked. Although the key was the same as my OD key that I tried before. Interesting. I see they have a post saying they are having problems with that registration screen. Thanks again!

Does it in Vista too...

Will IconPackager 5 support the Windows 7 Games Explorer? In Windows Vista it was possible to change the Game icons and in Windows 7 this  feature is missing I've created many Game icons but now I can't use them. The only application I found on the internet could change the Boxart but not the Icon.

I'm running Windows 7 x64 RETAIL.

Had the same issues trying to install IP5 so I could become a beta tester after having just paid for a full years subscription.

So I thought I should "post my feedback here to make it a better product"

It seems incapable of changing the icons in the conrol panel ? That is to say IP5 Beta whatever it's at, shows the icons I've chosen and it thinks the icons are in place but the icons simply don't show.

Fresh installation W7 RETAIL  .......... No antivirus .......... No system files altered

I'm hopeful it's something I'm doing wrong here ?

Will check back in a couple of months to see if there is any responce here.

Well that's pretty unnecessary but I guess I'll leave a helpful response anyways.

Other than your problem involving IP5 it has nothing to do with what this thread is about. Therefore I would suggest either finding the Official support thread for the IP5 beta or starting a thread of your own with a title that reflects your particular problem. I'd be willing to bet if you do either of those things you'll get a timely response to your issue. ;)
