More Triggered dreams,

Anyone?

When I heard what deskscapes was capable of, I thought "wow, finally a chance to have a desktop that responds to me and the current situation"

But where are the dreams that truly make use of triggers? (other than the few that make basic use atm)

Sadly I lack the skills, but I thought the community would jump on the chance to make dreams that display the time in an interesting way, blend the weather in based on current location, respond to system notifications/info, new mail, anything?

I must say I do enjoy the loops created by Ausvet and others (currently using se7en, ). But is there no ambition to push for some truly innovative .dreams that dreamscene ISN'T capable of?

Any thoughts?

There are some in the gallery, you can search "triggered" in the Dream category and find them.  I think with DeskScapes 3 hybrid .dreams are going to open us so much more opportunity for design.

Don't know if you have tried any of mine but I have done some triggered dreams -

Oasis Day & Night(trig.) dream

Redside Cove

Chains [triggered]

Desktop Matrix

Digital Matrix

Vista Lake

"Dreamy Waters"

Hope you like these, also you should visit CarGuy1's gallery for some awesome triggered dreams.

Regarding the other things you've mentioned above in the post, there is no such option of creating a dream

which would respond to system notifications/info, new mail, yet !!

But there is an all new breed of dreams called "Hybrid" which would use almost nill cpu, you can checkout Island Dog's

gallery for those, he has recently done a couple !!
