Empire Joining question

Haven't really followed too much of the empire/metaverse stuff - but it looks like a good laugh so was wanting to join up with one. I am from Melbourne so I guess the anzacs one is the go.
I am a pretty crap player score-wise though - and tend to go for the quickest, most enjoyable victory rather than goign for score. So would probably drag average scores down for whichever empire is unfortunate enough to be lumbered me. Is that ok? - not sure of the etiquette etc. involved.

Empire scores are not averaged, they are simply the sum of the individual players' overall scors, so no matter how crappy your score, every fighter helps in an empire.

Jeff - welcome aboard mate!! Seeing you win at painful and above levels, you're obviously NOT a crap player, so get yourself over to the the ANZAC empire and press the 'Join Empire' button. As a fellow Melbournian, I can testify that the weather's crap at present - perfect GalCiv playing time!

You should ABSOLUTELY play for fun and not scores, does not fuss us at all. Check the ANZAC empire running thread and join the party. Cheers!

thanks for the help CM and SW! Glad to hear it is not averaged out as didn't want to be dragging scores down.

Join who you wish. But there is more to empiring than just the scoreboard. Sure, all of us big empires keep one eye on the board, but the more colorful characters keep the other eye on the hijinks of the other empires. We play around with each other, swap advice and stories, and generally get along while causing minor mayhem. So be more than just someone who throws a game here or there onto the pile. Get active in your empire. Get active in the other empires if they don't mind the company. Be a part of the community and not just the scoreboard. There is your free advice from the acting manager big bad guy from the big bad empire.

too true and good advice. I hadn't ever paid much attention to that side of things (empires, scores, metaverse etc) but was checking out a few of the empire threads for the first time last night and all the general chit-chat and stuff it seemed like good fun.

Absolutely right! Just dont trust anything Gerakken says...... ;)
