sins updating

1) Download and install Impulse on your friend's computer

2) sign in with your email & profile password (the email you used for registration)

3) install and/or update the game

4) PROFIT!!!

You need to use Impulse Archives, which will give you the game in full that is fully updated

just follow the steps above (not so sure about #4)

when you are at the area of My Games go to the lower right hand corner and select "More" then select the Archive Application, it should start to download the whole fully updated game for ya,

You need to download and install Impulse, which is like Steam but more benign.  You'll need to register your CD-key with Impulse in order to update the game.  You can find it here:

The current versions of the game v1.181 for regular Sins and v1.041 for Entrenchment.

You can use Impulse Anywhere: http://anywhere.impulsedriven.com/Default.aspx

Sign in with the same account you signed in here with. You can then download the current installer/archive files which you can then copy to your flash drive and install on your destination PC.

folllowed your links above and found those individual files to download.

so now i have the installer file and data file 4, but when i try to get data file 1 i keep getting a message tells me download conection has been reset or something like that.

this cancels the download and i lose whatever has already downloaded. this has happened 5 times, am i doing something wrong here?

what the hell is wrong with this crap??!

i just got 92% downloaded, then i get a pop up message says 'file cant be downloaded. connection has been reset.'

edit: was downloading sins data file 1, from the impulse anywhere

i've given up on impulse anywhere.

it's been nothing but a friggin headache since i've been trying to use it.

currently at 55.5% on normal impulse thingy.

ok, now i've got this downloaded to me friend's computer. how do i get it over to my computer with a usb?

if i have this much trouble updating my game to the latest version, why should i even consider upgrading to entrenchment and/or diplomacy?

use ImpulseArchives and just copy  it over plus a copy of Impulse

i've went and bought the trinity disc from the shops, now.

Impulse Anywhere was discontinued by GameStop after they bought Impulse earlier this year. However we're currently working on our own new direct-download client just for Stardock products, and will be offering standalone installs for in-browser download straight from the Stardock store. If you have registered Trinity with us, you can just download the installer there and install it as needed.

We generally only delete spam or objectionable posts. Just because your question has been answered doesn't mean someone else can't be helped by reading the post.

so, basically, i can no longer download the game in pieces and take it home on a USB stick ?

bugger...will i be able to do this again in the future?  (i dont have the internet)

rozza09, if you have a 2gb or larger stick and you had purchased AND registered the trinity set, then the stardock store(link in reply 16) download page(after you log in to the store) will allow you to download the ENTIRE trinity latest version which is ONLY 1,144,740 KB (which is the sins, entrenchment AND diplomacy latest versions.
