Stardock is putting all its energies into getting WindowBlinds 3 ready. WindowBlinds 3 represents the most significant rewrite to WindowBlinds since the earliest betas (0.39 for those old timers).

Its new design is based on WindowBlinds XP, a Windows XP specific version of the program (the final version will all be called WindowBlinds 3 and work on all Windows platforms to reduce confusion).

The full enhanced version is currently only available as part of Stardock's Object Desktop. Users who want to get that can order it at https://www.stardock.com/order.html

hey,

that's a nice skin in the screenshot! where do i get it? i cant find it on wincustomize. its not included in the wb8 shareware version either(i think) is it called xpcobalt? where do i get my hands on it? thanks for helping.

It only exists internally right now. And it'll only be available in the full (non shareware) version of WindowBlinds.

When WindowBlinds 3 is released, there will be the following initially:

WindowBlinds 3 (Shareware) - will skin a more limited set of controls (no scrollbars, progress, like before but with some modifications for v3), will not include goodies like extra skins (XP Cobalt and others), no colorizing, limited SmartBars.

WindowBlinds 3 (Enhanced/Registered) - for people who purchase WB standalone. Has all the stuff limited above, extra skins, etc. Enhanced wbconfig with additional options (like skin browsing a la 2.x). Obtained directly from Stardock or in a box.

WindowBlinds 3 (Object Desktop) - same as enhanced/registered version above, distributed via ODNT electronically and CD snapshots.

YAY for wbxp beta8, it finally fixed the problem with the drop down menues in word and IE not to show correctly, me can't wait to go and get wb3 enhanced

wow! i want the xpcobalt theme now so badly! i own odnt, but i can't wait! when will wb3 final come out so i can use that xpcobalt theme! omg omg omg!

WOW! That skin rocks, I can't wait for it to be included. I like XP copper and all but its just as bland as the original XP interface (which I dont like anyway).
