Using gadgets to fix towers / cit

I'm surprised almost no one does this. You can add 2000 hp to any structure using the universal gadget. I've done it a few times to keep towers up in the knick of time. They are pricey, but not necessarily crippling.

Thoughts?

yeah, irek and I won a game by throwing 4 gadgets on the citadel, upping Fortified Structures then double-capping their ports.

Citadel got to 650 HP.

I believe you need to do both if possible, in a game where you a completely owning this is less important but in close games this will help out alot. Oh and nice word play there :w00t:

Karma for all 3 of you

I'll bring one if key tower is about to go down AND I can warp-in in time to drive the attacker off. Then I'll heal the tower so the enemy can't do a hit and run to finish it off.

I also use them when facing speed builds early in the game. Most speed players are bad players (which is why they use speed in the first place) so usually end up below 600 HPs for the kill as they run... this is also insta lane control for a long time. eg: If this happens early in the game, by the time they can come back from that death, I am 2+ levels ahead and am pretty much immovable by them because I'll be using a health stack.

Seriously no reason to use gadgets aside from maybe wanting to save the citedal. To save a tower is just not worth 500 gold. You don't want to lose locks or a pot just for maintaining a tower. Tele scroll + gadget + sigil is not a great combo.

I think there is a strong case for gadgeting a citadel though. Gadget cooldowns are very quick, so whoever is locking the local portals at the giants stange should probably also try and dump a gadget into the cit every time he goes by.

Waaaay too expensive for my taste.

The kill potential on fleeing Demigods make them worth it early game, I think. You barely break even with the gold from the kill, though.

I occassionally heal structures with the Gadget, e.g. if we still have both the forward side towers later in the game, to make them last even longer. It's hardly ever worth it though.

However, the Gadget is a great way to kill of unsuspecting or unprepared fleeing enemies, especially as Rook.
