Give me a critique please, what should I have done better, how could my team and I ended the game quicker. Thank you for any and all input.  My partners played phenomenally in this game and did a great job communicating which I feel led to the overall win. (It's also a fun game to watch, and the reason I keep playing this game)

I look forward to watching it when I get home! :D

I felt so useless late game, I just walked around spamming boulder roll on creeps and towering. I eventually did cap the portal ftw, but I was so afraid to leave my farm because of that awesome oak.  Early game I got knocked out of my socks by that Rook with super crazy health.

Health ruins a lot of fun games for me. A lot of fun games.

Edit: Health Items kill the fun for many games of Demigod I have played. There, that's better wording :D

It was just early game, I think he bought banded + another health increase + blood of the fallen

*mutter* botf...

But I really look forward to watching it when I get home. I love close games. And this has a TB in it! *Squee!*

He was a great ice tb

TB is totally under-rated. If you know how to play him right, hes a MEAN DG.

haha this was posted!  Indeed, it was a great game.  The most fun game I've ever played as well.

Actually, I had no trouble with their TB - their oak on the other hand... lol they get crazy as they near 20.

This was the first game in a really, really long time that went to 20 and artifacts well before it was decided.  Both sides fought really well to keep their portals.

Just a side note too, this was a PUG for both sides - no one had much experience playing together.  Great coordination considering...

I'd love to play with you again some time Levinaris, and btw, I didn't buy any artifacts; all my gold went to citadel upgrades

I enjoyed watching this replay. Both teams played really well and defended their portals till the end. However this really shows that TB cannot compete with Oak/UB late game. I think even Rook gets weaker at that point.

quick question though: is it worth buying finger of god when the game gets that long with lots of creeps in the field ?

Good question Izuz. I almost never buy it, it seems like unless the enemies giants are knocking on your door, you will just loose experience that you would get otherwise from killing the creeps yourself.  I think if the enemy oak hadn't bought an artifact, he could have won the game with more citadel upgrades, such as the finger of god.

That was pretty fun wasnt it? Both teams were pretty evenly match and were going back and forth. I think our biggest problem was that our oak died far too many times early in the game. Giving you guys a huge advantage in gold and war score early on. But when it looked like it was over for us we did a pretty good job of defending the base and even pushing you guys back for a bit. But in the end we just counldnt take acvantage of any opportunities we might of had. You guys even had the reduced spawn time upgrade!

And i agree with Izuz. Late game the TB and rook simply cannot compete with either Oak or Beast. Their health stacking combined with their damage output is far greater than TB or Rook.

I am also open to critiques if anyones got them.

Their TB had problems holding his own at every stage of the game. He never had above 5k HP. I was amazed how diligently they kept their portals locked.

Hey epi,

Are you suggesting i should have had more health items? I think i had banded+nimoth+unbreakeables and a couple of pots with me. What else could i have gotten health wise?

Narmoth's Ring would have been a good upgrade.  Since the game went to the 20, that combined with mageslayer should allow you to be pretty formidable, as TB's ice auto-attack is decent (especially with ice buff).  Ice TB's skills are actually quite good, but he lacks burst which his auto-attack needs to compensate for.

TB lacks burst? I was not aware of this.

A pure ice tb doesn't have many burst abilities. Rain of ice and deep freeze are the only damagers.  Of course, most people take fireballl no matter the build....

Fireball sucks balls though. Just compare to spit.

Spit sucks balls though. Just compare to bite.

All parallel structure aside, fireball really is a good skill, it's just that spit and bite are a bit too powerful.

Fireball is the shit. I dunno what your talking about.

OK, I will compare them

Maxed out fireball

1350 damage

1 second cast

Maxed out venom spit

2150 damage

0.3 second cast

BUT

You have to knock off 500 damage from the pool, as no one stands in that

1650 damage, still good BUT

1500 of that is DoT and symbol of purity, sedna's heal, and oak's shield can disable that, leaving you at

150 damage.

In the right conditions, venom spit is better, but only slightly.

End of Splitshadow's quote

Level 10 TB Frost Nova + Rain of Ice + Deep Frost deals over 1.4k damage in about 1.5 seconds. Oh, and it's ranged. Sure, it's not a "bursty" as a 1k pounce since it's not .3 seconds but you gotta give him credit. It gets more vicious if you throw in a fireball at level 15. Almost 3k burst then in about 3 seconds.

I got bored, so I played a 5v1 on crucible with teseer's hybrid build. I racked up 1.4 million damage and 76 kills :D

TB is totally a competitive demigod, if you don't believe me, watch some of teseer's replays. He got to level 20 when the average level was 14 in the game :O
