Neutral techs missing?

Hey everyone. Been playing Gal Civ 2 for a couple years now but just got the expansions for Christmas. Woot! Awesome! However, when you choose neutral as your alignment it says one of the benefits are unique weapons and defensive techs. What are they? I have seen the evil weapons techs (great) and the good defensive techs (good as well) but never anything with the neutral path. Am I missing something. Thanks for any help.

The benefits for neutral that I know off are:

Neutral learning center - pretty nice research labs

Neutral trading - Improved trade

A couple of diplomacy bonus techs?

All tiles on your planet will be usable instantly once you research the necessary terraforming techs.

 

I'm not sure about the weapon techs, I guess the description is wrong there, but maybe I just never noticed that some of the techs I had are due to allignment. If they exist they are certainly less noticeable than for good or evil.

You've forgotten about one of the biggest bonuses of being Neutral - the +10% Approval bonus. It is really, really nice :)

More specific to the question: I think they were planned at one point but never made it into the game. As far as I know there are no neutral specific weapons or defenses and never have been, they just forgot to change the text.

Thanks for your responses! Yeah the other bonuses for neutral are very good. I especially love those Neutrality Learning Centers. However, I guess the weapon and defensive techs were a misprint. Here is what it says in the manual:

 

 

 

 

 

Citizens are more content and an approval bonus applies.

 

 

Gain a discount when you directly purchase a ship

instead of build it.

 

 

Upgradeable tiles are instantly made available.

 

 

A bonus is applied to ground invasions against all nonneutral

alignments.

 

 

Unique technologies include additional weapons and

defensive technologies.

 

 

 

 

I put the reference in bold. Oh, well. Neutral is still awesome. Have fun out there!

Somebody know how big the ground-invasion advantage is? I´ve just invaded a Drengin world with just 500 ppl....

He had 12.500 ppl there , Soldiering 30, dice rolled 12. Evil.

I (Yor) had 500, Soldiering 60, dice rolled 40, Mass-driver. Neutral.

After the battle still had 204 soldiers left...(!). Couldn´t believe it. Usually send these small transports in to decimate his people, then overtake without damaging the planet. And I can´t see how this sums up, if not that "Invasion ground bonus" somehow made it....

Maybe the tech difference lead to such a spectacular victory? I would also like to know about this invasion bonus.
