Which would be more useful

I'm currently using form dance TB as my main and I have been rotating between Frost nova, Fire nova, perma frost and fire aura.
I am not sure which I should stick with; I have had usefulness out of both and have been hindered (So to speak by both of each.)

Things to note

Play style: I am an Aoe-er maniac and that is an understatment. (Which is one reason I loved using demigods like TB and QOT.)

I like to kite a lot, don't need healing if you aren't getting hurt right?

My main goal while playing is not getting kills, and not out damaging the guy next to me, but instead is map control. (There is a reason its called conquest XD)

I am a supportive player, as long as I don't become the meat shield in the conflict. That is why we have ub, rook, and oak players XD.

I am also an easy player to communicate in game with.

So whch of both skills would you thing would be more usefulto me?

Check out Teseer's TB Guide it's pretty much perfect.

http://forums.demigodthegame.com/372526

He passes up on the auras for a massive damage rain of ice / fireball build.  He levels up fire nova last, because frost nova's stun is much more valuable.

already use ot, it eally isn't no different from what I except i use either perma frost and fire aura. This two skills are to valuable for me to simply pass up.

What do you drop to add on an aura?

I usually go

RoI

Fire ball

Aura/frost

RoI II

Fire ball II

Frost/Fire Nova

RoI III

Fireball III

Aura/frost II

Fireball IV

RoI IV

Frost/Fire nova II

Aura/Frost IV

And so on.

Hmm... if you're planning on kiting, frost nova would come in handy for stick situations, and fire aura would help you attack faster and move away when they chase you.  I have to say though, the auras are only marginally better than stats unless your whole team is with you.

Like I said they are my meat shields XD

Sadly, Frost Nova I is useless for getting YOURSELF out of sticky situations in all but a few situations:

-They are porting in and you start the cast before they port so as soon as they come in they are stunned

-Preventing a port/pot

-They are slower than you, pure melee and out-of-melee range so you freeze them as they approach

This is because it is a 1 second cast for a 1 second stun. If you are both AA'ing each other on a flag and you blow a Frost Nova you spent 1 second doing nothing but casting and they spend 1 second stunned. There shouldn't be any swing (of course Frost Nova does give a -movement speed debuff which makes it a sort-of-decent escape ability see #3 above).

Really, I only use Frost Nova to deal with towers or to help give an escaping ally another second to back up. Other wise it is better to be using your mana elsewhere.

I've actually considered skipping the skill entirely until around level 9 or so (get Frost Nova I at 9, II at 10) except for the fact not having it and then someone depending on me to have it and overextending scares the crap out of me.

No reason to get it before 8. The stun itself is real low but the slow has saved my ass a million times over.

But yes, only stun that effects towers. Use it :)

Yea I always hated how the stun was so short; I actually do try to use it to escape only to see it fail. As soon as I start running they are unstunned again.

Stuns for 6 seconds on buildings and General Minions, works form me :)

It should be 2 seconds from level 1 :\, you can't start walking after casting for  ~.5 seconds anyway.

I never think of it as much of a stun til its lvl 2+.

I think of it as a little snare and interrupt.

I suck at interrupting. One of the reasons I dropped deep freeze was because of that.

I just had an Oak save my ass with a Pent interrupting Spit.

Interrupts are so fun, but I still only actually get like 60% of them. I still miss em all the time on Spit/Boulder roll and the like.

Synn, I was playing TB quite a bit before and if I learned one thing from the experience its not to use auras with a hybrid.

IMO you just gravitate to whatever form (which is good cause its prolly keeping you alive) your aura was in and the alternate skill/s become somewhat neglected.

If they ever fix the TB AA then conceivable Fireball/Fire Aura/ROI/BlotS might be pretty deadly but until then just go with Teseer's build or go pure fire or ice if you really love auras.

i can't get 1.1% of them

One: My camera is never in close enough to view enemy demigods animations closely. Seriously I usually have the camera where I can either view the entire map or 3/4s the map. This way I can see on coming ganks of other demis that arent teleporting. Other reasons I basically try to keep every demigod both on my team and off my team position in sight one way or another. If I don't know everyones position than you better believe that map is not coming in close.

My bites get interupted all the time :(

Lol, I wish that happened more for me. It isnt for lack of trying. No, lack of succeeding.

All I can interrupt are teleports, locks, potions, hammer slam, heal, and sometimes shadow swap and fireball. I can't move fast enough with my trackpad.

You gotta have the interrupt ready and with things like spit, try to make them use it when you're ready.

I like to run toward UB, back off and I hope that he targeted Spit. You have Deep Freeze selected and mouse over him. As soon as your in range, cast. The time it takes to turn and cast is enough for him to get in range and start spitting.

Wait come to think of it; I have never once interrupted anything since I began playing the game.... That is just how bad I am at interrupts.

I agree to some extent...

Thats why when I play hybrid I no longer put 3 skill points into an aura I'm only going to use half the time.

Unless... double aura TB build!  I'm off to do some labbing so keep your eye out for the guide.

That is another thing, has anyone tried using both frost and fire at the same time?
