Random Maps

Hi All, this is just a suggesting to the developers.  I would love to see some more random map generators with varying numbers of stars, etc.  Or better yet, a random map where you set the number of planets, stars, and players before launching the game.  That would be cool.

My friend and I love the unknown with random maps as opposed to the prebuilt ones.  Just some thoughts for the devs.

Technically that's what the ingame map generator is for.

However, I do like your idea about more varied random map templates.

Indeed, more map templates for random and designed maps would be splendid. I'm really sick of the whole "home cluster -> long jump -> random nonsensical jumble of gravity wells" pattern.
