WindowBlinds 3.2 enhanced released

http://www.windowblinds.net
For those users who have Object Desktop or have registered WindowBlinds, version 3.2 is now officially available. The new version has a host of new under the hood changes to make it use a lot fewer resources than 3.1 and a new architecture on Windows XP to further extend Microsoft's visual style engine more seamlessly than in 3.1.

Is this version for the configuration window also set to "Default" to always come up on startup too?

Hope this release does a better job of downloading .wba files. Even though I tried about everything possible my .wba files are still floating around the ethernet world.

It don't work any more on my Win2k PC. Ver 3.1 worked fine, but 3.2 slows the whole pc down without any skining. All up to date fixes DX8.1 with on board intel 810 graphics.

I have un-installed 3.2 completely (regs+files).
Re-installed 3.2 with all running application off and it is working fine now. No probs + it is faster now.
Thanks Stardock

I don't know if this is just my machine or not, but I tried installing WB 3.2 and it didn't play nice with ObjectBar (I Think) at all. Made my machine slow down to almost a standstill. (It took 3 minutes just to get the Task Manager to come up) I'm back to using 3.1 again, with no problems.

Scrollbars and progress bars disappeared for all skins apart from Blackcomb. I tried both 3.2 & 3.2a.

I had the same problem as Citizen Martyn concerning downloading wba files. I solved the problem by going to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel choosing Change/Remove for Windowblinds then choosing Repair. After that the downloads worked. This is for Windows XP. I don't recall that the repair option was available in Win98.

Sounds to me like there's some registry entry or file that doesn't get changed upon upgrade but does, either on fresh install or repair. Hmmmm. I guess it can't hurt me to give it a try or I could joing chichigirl46 in the United Nose Pickers union

If you are having problems then delete all WBD files in your skin directories.

3.2 seems to be accepting 3.1 WBD files and then getting upset about it.

As for ObjectBar issues : its probably an issue in the OB WB skin loading system and not directly related to a new WB build.

strange. my work machine (large pile of moldy cheese) isnt having any problems so far with WB 3.2a

quite impressive given the quite vast number of problems i have had with some builds

Same problem as Risblaque. Scroll bars & progress bars gone on alot of skins. The skin I've was using (Platinum) works fine though. Anyone found a fix for this yet?

Well, I thought it was just me, but My XP doesn't like it either? Can't seem to change the skins like they should be. Would not show XP Pro 2.0 skin or others properly at all! Better stay with 3.1, better on my nerves?
