Sins of a Solar Empire: Diplomacy beta doesn't run

Hi,

I just bought the Diplomacy expansion for Sins of a Solar Empire, and when I try to run it, it bascially hange the system. The screen blanks out (I play fullscreen, so this is normal) but nothing ever comes up. Both the original Sins of a Solar Empire, and the Entrenchment expansion run fine, the screen still blanks out, but then the start up screens appear. My system is an Intel DG33FB Motherboard, Q6600 CPU (stock), 8GB RAM, Nvidia 8600GT video card. Display is a Dell 2407WFP LCD running at 1920 X 1200. OS is Vista Ultimate 64 BIt. All Vista patches are up to date, and SoSE and SoSE:Entrenchment are showing no available updates on Impulse (this was true before I downloaded Diplomacy). Has anybody else encountered this, or have any suggestions?

I do not have a suggestion for you, but Diplomacy runs perfect on my Vista Ultimate 64 machine.  I have a Gigabyte board with an AMD 5000+ dual core and 9600GT from nvidia and 4GB of ram.  I play at full screen 1680x1050.

I don't know your what your problem is either. I would suggest though that you post your problem in the "Diplomacy Beta" forum, where the dev's are most likely looking for problems such as these.

I bought the diplomacy expansion 2 months ago and it has been working fine until today.  I just installed a windows update and now everytime I click on the single player button in the opening menu it freezes/crashes and never recovers.

Any fixes/Idea on what is going on?  it is V.95
