Send angus1949 some Sunshine

Just wated to send some 'Sunshine' along the way to Ed.

From another thread:

I'm going to watch from the sidelines for awhile my friend.  I don't want to miss too much and would like to learn some of W7 desktops using Windowblinds.

I just entered Hospice care a few weeks ago and have had a terrible adjustment.  It is better care than I was getting on the outside only with a shorter outcome date.  I LOVE you all and everything you do.  Stay inagreement with each other as much as possible, and drink up ever draft of life.

I have missed having you here, know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Not much sunshine here in England Ed, none at all in fact! Cloudy and raining and cold. I envy you the Florida sunshine, and I wish I was there. If I WAS there I would be on my way to see you and hopefully cheer you up.

Never forget Ed, the mind is a powerful thing when put to work in the correct way. I have seen some incredible achievements using the power of the mind (in my days as a Hypnotist) so channel your thoughts into destroying whatever ails you, you'll be surprised at the results!

Thinking of you buddy........... Bry. B[]

We want ED to get better, not chase the nurses
End of quote

Ed don't need to chase nurses... they've been chasing him, so I hear.

* Chasing him to take his meds.

* Chasing him to take his temperature

* Chasing him to give a specimen.

* Chasing him to take blood.

* Chasing him to get back on the bedpan.

The only thing they don't have to chase the ornery ol' bugger for is a bed bath.... he laps that up cos it's an ALL over wash.

Ed will probably be the only patient kicked out of Hospice because of bawdy conduct (inspired by the Cap'n).

If love and good wishes from WC have any influence, he'll be on the beach sunning himself by tomorrow.

Good on ya folks!

Rural Kentucky Funeral

(Emotional story, but worth the read.)

As a bagpiper, I play many gigs. Recently I was asked by a funeral director to play at a grave side service for a homeless man. He had no family or friends, so the service was to be at a pauper's cemetery in the Kentucky back-country.
As I was not familiar with the backwoods, I got lost; and being a typical man I didn't stop for directions. I finally arrived an hour late and saw the funeral guy had evidently gone and the hearse was nowhere in sight. There were only the diggers and crew left and they were eating lunch. I felt badly and apologized to the men for being late.
I went to the side of the grave and looked down and the vault lid was already in place. I didn't know what else to do, so I started to play. The workers put down their lunches and began to gather around. I played out my heart and soul for this man with no family and friends. I played like I've never played before for this homeless man. And as I played 'Amazing Grace,' the workers began to weep. They wept, I wept, we all wept together.
When I finished I packed up my bagpipes and started for my car. Though my head hung low, my heart was full.
As I was opening the door to my car, I heard one of the worker say, "Sweet  Jesus, I never seen nothing like that before and I've been putting in septic tanks for twenty years."
