it doesnt freeze, it just takes a very long time ti unload everything from memory

as far as i understand it, Windows has a maximum of 2GB RAM allocated to programs, and Sins uses about 1.8GB or so, so after every game, it has to unload all that data.

this unfortunately takes a while.

however its possible you game does freeze... leave it alone one day and if it doesnt get you back to the main screen, contact [email protected] about it

Same here, simple fix more ram, free up computer.  Start Bar, run, MSCONFIG

or

Just keep things from loading when you turn your computer on

ALT CTRL DEL is the simple way to get to processes.... stupid firefox

fix more ram, free up computer
End of quote

the first part makes no difference, the game can and will only use 2GB of RAM, and certain OS dont allow for  more than XGB of RAM, for instance, Vista 32-bit only allows 4 GB and Vista 64 only 8GB, though regardless its the amount of ram given to programs that prevents things from working faster...

as for the second, it could help, but only marginally...

unfortunately there is no real way to speed things up... though on smaller maps the time taken to unload is less than for larger maps

i dun feel any difference on this issue using a 2GB comp with 512MB comp

okay yeah im playing on the largest pre-made map so i guess it will take a while... and windows os's dont limit usage of ram, they just only recognize so much of it. whether your applications utilize it is another matter.

Actually this never really happens to me since I only run the game in the window mode, so all I have to do is to press the "X" and gone, of course, it sorta lags a bit after that but for like 5 secs or so

I think it's in the Video settings area.

wow, just go to settings->video->Play game in Windowed mode

or even better shortcut, is to go to your settings file under setting and then search for WINDOWMODE (or something to a sort) change it from false to TRUE

don't tell me you never noticed this option when you change your screen resolution for the game, or you didn't know about that too?

Or you can push Ctrl+Shift+Tab. :)
