Visual Style MERGE!

Visual Style MERGE!

We have merged the WindowBlinds, WinXP, and GUI Olympics visual styles all into the WindowBlinds section to clean up the site a little bit.

If you are looking for WB visual styles, just look in the WindowBlinds section.

Well, Vagrant, I can't argue with that logic, but that means I actually have to read.

On the main page, at the top, where it says SEARCH, choose category = WINXP, then click on GO. This works just like the old WinXP link.
Nothing is broken and there are no extra steps.

Tast - "If so couldnt we have a click on in the dropdown that would filter skinz with xp support? "

Excellent idea Tast. That goes along with what Frogboy was suggesting on specialized queries. That's doable!

The old WinXP and GUI Olympics sections have still not disappeared completely. If you do a cross-library search, or click on an author''s name then click ''view authors skins'', you will still see the WinXP and GUI Olympics skins listed there. I assume these will disappear in time.

Personally, I much prefer the single WB section. I would always download the XP version of a skin anyway, even though I don''t have Windows XP yet. As DavidK said, you can always choose not to download a skin because of its lack of XP support, just as you can if you simply do not like it.

If you really must see only the WinXP skins, or any other criteria that you commonly use, why not filter the list to your liking then bookmark the resulting page. The ''query string'' in the URL will contain all the search criteria that you specified, and will enable the page to be regenerated any time.

/me likes only one WB section

i have win98 at work and winXP at home.

however, even at home XP skins make no difference to me, since i use a customized OB theme without the XP style start menu.

so i dont gain from the extra XP skin components.

this way there is only one list to search for attractive skins.

also remember that a LOT of users are not running XP.

personal preference ultimately, but since you can still search for XP themes, hardly a big loss?
