The Ultimate SkinBrowser Progressess...

https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?cmd=subscription
Subscribers of WinCustomize get access to the WinCustomize browser. One of the features being worked on for the next update is a system tray app that will let you know when a new skin is available and make changing skins and themes and icons accessible right from the system tray.

A subscription to WinCustomize is only $19.95 right now (it will be going up this summer) for the year. That's less than $2 per month!

We are also working on premium skin packs that only subscribers will be able to use along with other features.

I thought my A$37.00 was for a full year not just for a couple of months.

where can i download the new version. shouldn''t it be as simple as a download link for subscribers instead of dancing through hoops?
It''s not available yet. This is just what we''re working on.

There''s no hoops to go through.

You can always get the latest version of ANY stardock product you''ve purchased by going here, typing in your email address.

Why pay exactly ? its a browser that shows skins.
ppl allready paid for the programs that uses the skins ... I dunno I though people were trying to make the internet free or something guess were still in the dark money age.

The money is to support Wincustomize, the skinbrowser is just an added incentive. I have no need for it, but I subscribed anyway, you see - I''m a mindless Stardock drone who pays for whatever they throw my way, cause I like them so much On a serious note, it''s not something you need if you don''t want it. I subscribed to support WC, I''ve been using it since day one and I feel obligated to support it in any way I can, simple as that. It''s sort of like buying shares in a company

Please tell me the duraion of a Wincustomise Subscription and how often the price rises are to be expected.
Also how do the increases tie in with the original subscription, I mean do you pay a subscription and then another one in a couple of months time or do you pay the difference.

Subscription is for a year, The price you pay now is $19.95 u.s.d.

This price is going up soon so if you subscribe in i don''t know say, A couple of months you will have to pay the higher amount instead.

There is no double subscription to wincustomize .. (hmmmmm lets think how to explain this) Consider this a special price and the product is going to go up in price is all ok?

No difference to pay or anything like that Ande.. one subscription .. one year!

Ok now who''s gonna pass the food ?

Its looking good that the next build will have the message board integrated in via Outlook style instead of an HTML page.

Yea, that is one feature I''m looking forward to a lot.

Coreg: When someone buys WindowBlinds they are paying for WindowBlinds. There are thousands of WindowBlinds skins on the net. WinCustomize HOSTING skins is very expensive. Running the site is expensive. WinCustomize isn''t necessary to use WindowBlinds or Object Desktop though. Therefore it''s a completely seperate thing.

I'm with Mack/N.G.E. on the drone thing.

Must...buy...something...stardock...today...fading...need...air...

I've used a lot of shareware over the past several years, including ODNT from Stardock, and I must say no other company has provided better support or bang for my buck than Stardock. Their ODNT suite of products is truly one of a kind and worth every penny.

The subscription service they're offering here is long over due. You don't have to run a website to know nothing is for free. You've seen their bandwidth charts; you know how much you yourself download.

Help them out by paying $19.95 USD now (or the increase of $5 coming up) and download all the desktop enhancements you can for the next year. In either case, it's about $2 per month. That's less than one coffee at Starbuck's. If you're not a coffee drinker (or you just refuse to get coffee at a cafe), then think about it in terms of food - it's less than what most people spend on a lunch.

Eh, I don't know why I sound like a d**n commercial here. I believe in their company and product line and so I want to support them. That's just me. Take what I've said at face value and decide for yourself.

Oh, I'm close to renewing my ODNT subscription for a third year...and I'm not made out of money so get that thought out of your head, sport!

Keep up the great development. I can't wait for the next Skin Browser. Again, a product with no equal. Skinz.org tried something similar about two years ago and it was cool, but still doesn't come close to the features of the browser being offered here.
