I went and had a look. Looks pretty amazing, but...What features does it have that stuff at OD can't do? Is HD fully compatible with OD apps?

werewolf - yeah, I was wondering the same thing. I just bought HVD like a couple of days ago after seeing how cool the Universal Metal theme is for HVD. I haven't used it much yet, but from the few themes I did pull up, they don't seem very .. uhm... "nice"? At least not nice to my resolution. I'm running at 1600x1200, and everything is all out of whack. Taskbar is in the middle of the screen, and all sorts of weird things. Granted, I maybe just didn't look at the settings long enough to see how to fix this.

Anyway, does anyone else have any opinions on HoverDesk? Good/bad? Compared to DesktopX? (I also subscribe to ODNT - 2 years now).

Hmm, first thing I noticed : It wants to quit trayserver... (Although it is pretty useless to run HVD and Desktop X / Object Bar together ) And my registration doesnt't work. Have to write an email.

The 'designed for X resolution only' problem is the only thing that stops me from using progs like DesktopX and hover desk. Thats and the fact I couldn't put together a theme even if my life depended on it

There are some res-independent DX-themes here. But that is a matter of taste, of course.

Thats is true, but the ones I like tends to be res-dependant, I could modify then I suppose.

/me is very lazy
