Diplomacy the last expansion?

I was under the impression that there were 3 micro expansions planned...  but I just read in the iGN review that this is the last one?

Is there no longer a 3rd expansion planned?

Thanks,

ATM no more expansions are planned/under_development + official sources says Diplomacy is "final expansion".

No, they said it's the last micro expansion, they never said anything about it being the last expansion. ;)

Given the Trinity expansion pack in stores, I don't think we'll see a feature-length expansion.  It'd have to be stand-alone, which would really be more like Sins 1.5 than anything.

No matter of everything I would like see at least one more Sins expanison... There are still tons of unused potential in this game.

I don't want an expansion, I want a Sins 2. Then maybe we can get a 64-bit version of the game. Imagine a map with 1000's of planets, with no slowdown (ok, maybe a little:P )

How are you gong to control empire of 1000 planets? In custom scenarios I have problems with even 100+ planets under my control... If SoaSA 2 is going to improve game depth in every aspect, I see no way to control such big empire (unless devs add tons of automatization)...

Maybe select a ton of planets and mass build structures, like if you select 100 carrier frigates and have them all make bombers.

As a side note, there are rumors of Sins 2. I think the devs have confirmed it. They said they cancelled the third micro expansion to release Sins 2 faster.

I think we need a Sins-2, too.

A Sins-2 that would be truly multi-threaded.  They could add another race or two to the game and more planet types in addition to some sort of a cheesey campaign.  Or better yet, include some sort of a campaign editor engine--let enthusiasts produce free custom content for your game.

The game could also use an online multiplayer tutorial to walk players through setting up Ironclad Online accounts and whatnot.  I also think that several improvements could be made to the user interface and I'd like the ability to press a Function Key and pull up a chat log of all in-game chat.  And before I forget, allow custom maps and mods to auto-download and add built-in voice comm.

Well i can see where this game is headed. First, the three races meet and fight. Then they entrench and defend. Then they unite. But what will there be to kill if they are all allied? IMO i think its the thing that killed the Vasari.

They've never confirmed it. The most they've done is hint at something will be coming eventually. Whether it is a full expansion or a sequel, they haven't said anything.

Totally agree with all of this. And more modding abilities.
