Deskscapes 3 isn't working - no idea why.

Hi,

This is a second request for help with Deskscapes, I may have posted the original in the wrong forum.

 

I recently upgraded to Deskscape 3 via Impulse from my paid-up subscription even though the prior deskscape version worked just fine once I figured out not to use fences or active desktops.

I use XP and made no changes in my security program/firewall on switchover, and when uninstalling the old version/installing the new version, I even paused PC protection just to make sure there'd be no glitches.

I also used CCleaner to clear out temporary files each time and rebooted as required.

But Deskscapes 3 is not working on my PC for some reason - no previews of installed Dreams and and needless to say it also won't apply them.

Any suggestion on how to fix the problem would be greatly appreciated and If all else fails, can I revert to the previous Deskscapes version?

PS: The OS I'm running is XP.

   Have you looked to see if your video drivers are up to date?

Just a thought...maybe CCleaner cleaned too deeply? I think a good practice (and a safer one, at times) is to use Impulse to uninstall SD apps, using CCleaner when that doesn't work, or the SD zapper before that, even.

At any rate, open a ticket at SD Support. Folks there know what they're about. And good luck fixing it!
