strange? moves allowed changed on me

i have version 1.05.071, and some weird things are happening -but no crashes :)

my deathstar's moves say "8/1", instead of the the "1/1", and the weird thing is that its a "8/1" instead of "1/8"!
well anyways, i got a deathstar that actually can move 8 spaces! i cant really complain. i only have one deathstar in that game right now, i will try building another after work today to see if it also gets the same 8 moves. (by the way, the deathstar isnt in a fleet or anything).

also, my constructors moves just changed in the last 2 turns that i played. before i was enjoying 10 moves for a constructor, but now it dropped down to only 6 moves? how can this happen? i know its not from the ship speed enhancement modules on the starbases, since i dont build those, and im not allied with anyone ether, so i cant be benefiting from other players starbases.

well anyways, the problems arent all that serious. sure i took a hit with slower constructors, bet hey, how can i complain? i got a culturaly maxed out deathstar that can move 8 spaces! (i just need to get the party palace and i will be really laughing!)

i mean "terror star", i have a habit of calling them "deathstars" instead.

also, all my other ships moves dont seem to be effected. only my constructors, and my only terror star seem to be acting funny.

The terror star megamove is a bug that's been in the game since the beginning. It happens when you stack it with another ship and it adopts the movement of the stacked ship for some unknown reason (although I'll bet it's because there's pointer set incorrectly somewhere in the code).

Solution: don't stack terror stars with ships, as annoying as that is.

That could be because there previously was a United Planet resolution which increased constructor speed, and that resolution just expired.

Another possibility (though less likely) is that you were in a sector with your starbases that gave you the movement bonus.

You'll enjoy this bug as a bonus for all of about one game, then you'll curse that they haven't tracked it down yet. The AI is already pretty bad at handling terror stars, giving it an 8 move isn't even fun after you see it once. It's basically like taking on a peewee football league with M1-Abrams tank.

yea, but i dont blow up stars with my terrorstars, i instead use them as cultural bombs, so i dont think i will get sick of this bug for awhile. :)
