Thoughts on good items for an assassin Erebus?

Wanted to try out Erebus, and found a good assassin build for him. The build didn't mention good items though. I have some thoughts already, but I thought it would be a good idea to recieve the wisdom of the people here as well. Thank you, and have at.

Vlemish - Plenor - Unbreakble Boots - Nimoth's Chestplate

(Insert one HP item here eg: Banded, Haubrek of Life, Narmoth's Ring)

Damage items usually arent good compared to HP and mana. (unless it hits artifact stage then crits can get nasty). But yea assassin Erebus needs a huge amount of mana to even spam half of his skills.

90% of competitive builds use Vlemish, Unbreakble Boots, Nimoth Chestplate in their build. Three-Quarters of those use Plenor Battlecrown. Most builds only have 1 "free" item and this is typically best spent with an additional HP item though there are exceptions.

Thank you for your input. Mostly what I thought, but didn't think of nimoth. Ereb is fun. :)

If you have that much cash, get the Orb of Defiance. An activatable item is much more fun then a bigger HP pool.

Orb of defiance with erebus would let you stall like a mofo.

I payed against an orb erebus not long ago and he was unkillable. Late game he could just hang out at our portals indefinitely.

Teseer i feel like i played a bit more with erebus then you

Doesn't matter who you play to know that a stat being higher isn't as fun as another usable item.

my quick item build for ass erb.  And I do vary this up based on how well I'm doing, if I need to shop, etc.

at start - monks - 50 gold totem

when i have 1500 gold - banded armor, scale mail, scaled helm

when i have another 1500/1750 - nimoth or vlemish or unbreakable boots

when i have another 1500/1750- nimoth or vlemish or unbreakable boots

Somewhere in here I'm working on picking up a sigil/ports/locks - it vary's based on what's happening and when i chose or had to shop

As more money comes in, I'll get narmoth's ring/mageslayer or groffling.  Then upgrade my monks to something stronger based on what the team has or what I'm up against, etc.

The overall goal for me early is to snag a early kill if someone is being silly.  Outside of that its to not have to to go back to the base while I hold flags.  The longer I can put off buying equipment, the better.  As in, if you can avoid going back to base until you hit level 5-6, you are doing great.

Nature's reckoning is also not an unreasonable item for assasin Ereb.

No shit. It's still less then 750 so it would still be a bigger hp pool if he got Narm.
