If I see "Forums Go Boom" one more time...

Not quite certain if this is the right place to post this, as it isn't a GalCiv II bug. It does, however, concern the GalCiv II forums, which are arguably the most crash-ridden forums I've seen in my life. I've taken to copying every post I make (including this one) so as not to have to rewrite it when (not 'if') the forums "Go Boom". Seriously, how do I avoid seeing the Forums Go Boom Message at least once on every post I make? This just doesn't seem like it's normal. Is it because of when I post or something?

No. Like you said, these are the most crash-ridden forums on the World Wide Web. It just went BOOM! for me on my last response, and I wouldn't be surprised if it does it with this one as well.

It's not even consistent as to whether the post will finally show up or be lost in limbo.

I usually wait about an hour before I try to repeat a response, because sometimes it does show up after that long.

It seems that there are so many different sites linked, that use so many different code bases, that nothing seems to work just right. And the excuse for not fixing it seems to be, just that. Too many sites that use different languages and nobody knows how to get everything to work together, and they are unwilling to rewrite everything to make everything compatible.

I understand the time and cost issues. The main question I have is...

Why the HELL!!! did they even start setting it up this way in the FIRST place???????????? One would think that, with the first couple linked sites, they would have standardized. Instead, they simply left it bastardized.

Now they have dug themselves in so deep they'll never get out, and we just have to put up with gaudawful buggy forums for the rest of time.

In the past 2 days I have made 7 or 8 attempts at responses to different posts.

If this one goes through, it will be the third that has succeeded.

I get a 'Forum Goes BOOM!' with every posted reply. And every now and then, one will make it through.

Funnily enough, I've just had five posts go through without a single forum error. Maybe it does have something to do with when I post (which is usually unnaturally early in the morning).
