Gone a little M&M crazy...
On a trip to my local Wally-world a few weeks back I saw some cute little M&M dispensers that looked a bit like Gumball machines. These particular dispensers also work as banks, though you don't have deposit anything in the coin slots to actually have them dispense the candy.

I wound up buying a couple of those dispensers to take into work. The choco-holics there enjoy munching on the candy and in using the dispenser the portions tend to get rationed out a bit better rather than having a bowl there with a bunch of snack-sized bags in it that all disappear within a day or two.
After bringing those dispensers in, I wound up dusting off and washing up an older dispenser I had on my shelves of collectibles and knick-knacks. My old Siskel & Ebert dispenser.

That one works well for holding and dispensing Peanut M&M's. The opening for the dispenser chute is larger so it doesn't get clogged up like the smaller dispensers shown above do. The co-workers have definitely enjoyed playing with it (you press down on Yellow's foot - the one shown with the ticket on it, and it dispenses candy) and I get to snicker (no pun intended) a bit when I hear the sound of the candy hitting the chute.
Another co-worker asked where I had gotten that one from and I thought to check out Amazon and see if I could find one. Sure 'nuff, there were a couple up there so we ordered one for him that he has since received and is taking home for his grandkids to enjoy. (Actually, he liked the idea that the neighbor kids would drag their mothers over to his house so he could leer at the ladies a bit
)
While ordering that one for the co-worker, I found a few more that looked like they'd be fun and wound up going on a bit of a buying spree... First, this one:

Which I was originally blaspheming a bit by loading up with Reeses Pieces and leaving it on my desk. That one doesn't seem to be as nice for dispensing and sadly the little tray is to flat and relatively small to be convenient to fetch the candy from. I've since given that one to someone that I know is a NASCAR fan. His office mates and he can now enjoy getting a bit of chocolate from it whenever they want (provided they keep it filled as I told them that part is their responsibility).
For a former boss of mine (he's still here, but is working on other parts of our contract now, so no longer a supervisor), I picked up this one which is perfect for him as he's a golf lover.

Those last 3 were purchased through Amazon for these most recent pick-ups. I don't recall where I got the original Siskel & Ebert style dispenser though.
Compliments of a banner ad (argh! sooner or later we all fall for them), I went on a visit to the My M&M's store (mymms.com) and wound up snagging 4 more dispensers there. The slot machine, the M&M's racing team, the hot rod and the barnstormers.
I've yet to load the hot rod or the barnstormers plane, but will get those loaded up later. The bad thing is that like another co-worker with a bunch of action figures at his desk, my desk is getting cramped by my toys. I had previously put a batch of R/C helicopters and such on the desk, and they've been occupying all of the "display" space I have available. Where I'll put these last couple of toys at, who knows. I may loan them out to some other co-worker's desks and let them have fun with them for a while.
