Why does your mod have so many folders?
As Sins of a Solar Empire is a 32bit game it is restricted to 2GB of ram utilization as well as other various hard coded limitations. The stacking structure used with this mod allows more than 2GB of content by allowing portions of the mod to be loaded.

Will you support Entrenchment or Vanilla?
No, I did have previous versions that supported Entrenchment (See Release History), but have decided the it was too much effort for one person to try and maintain both.

Hmmm, another note, Destroyer Cap also needs it's shields resized :p but I'm sure you already have that in the works. Besides that all that I can see that needs working on is the textures for the Nephilim. Mainly finding the right one that fits for them and also the correction of the models/textures so you can't see any of the polygon lines in the models when textures are applied. I noticed this on most if not all the Neph ships and structures. Also making the models a bit more detailed but not increasing poly count might help with making some textures fit in more easily with them.

Edit: I also feel as though you should apply different textures to the engine areas of the ships instead of the whole wrap around you got going, and aligning the flares of the engine correctly and resizing them depending on the size of the engines.

That helps, it might be due to the overlapping pact research I fixed with Advent's tree. I'll try and get a new Beta build ready and posted here when I get a free chance.

I don't disagree. I've just been hesitant to put to much effort into the textures until I find a look I like. I might make another pass on a model and see if I can come up with something better. But re-texturing ~25 models will be a comitment I want to be ready for.

I recreated something similar, except mine minidump when I selected the Diplomacy button (handshake button).

Weird thing is I reloaded a save game just prior and was able to continue the game.

I've found some missing relationships I need to fill in. Maybe it causes it to happen overtime... I'll keep looking but it's all I can find at the moment.

Okay another report of Nephilim, Templar Elite has no engine flare. Also the effect of the weapons platform after they gain the synergy and shield upgrades is mis-aligned and not center with the orb in the center of the platform.

Also when you re-texture the weapon platform may I suggest you texture the orb so that it's more like a central hub where the core power center is. Basically do what you did with the civilian research station, you made the center totally the team color which gave it a awesome effect of making it look like a giant crystal.

 

Edit: Also I got a mini-dump when I pressed the diplomacy hand icon for missions, by that I mean it was able to open up the menu but when I clicked a faction the game dumped on me. Hope this helps narrow down that issue.

This sounds awfully similar to the entity manifest including the questkilltacticalstructureslow or civilianmodules low, not including one of the new quests.  That's the only reason I can think of that would make the game crash while trying to do diplomatic actions.  Might want to double check that portion of your manifest to be sure.

Well the exact thing that happened was that another faction managed to find it's way to me and decided to give me a mission. I noticed it and tried to open up the tab for it. Second I clicked that faction tab it dumped, and I do remember which faction it was, it was the Rouge faction.

Based on this information, then what I said is exactly the issue.  The manifest is allowing now broken quests to be given.

4 more models needed for Plague...

Down to Bioreactor, Disease Transmitter, Host Exchange, and Disease Transmission Cannon...

I think I have an idea for the cannon, but none so far for the other three.

im going to assume for the time being that the disease transmitter is the culture thing. an idea for that could possibly have like satelites pointing out in the 4 general directions and have disease pouring out of those kinda like the orbital refinery does for the TEC that way its filling the rest of space with the disease or maybe make the satelite things tubes perhaps and maybe instead of 4 make it 8

I have a new test link posted with various fixes including the diplomacy button crash. Also have some new plague models, though a couple are more potential standins until I find something better.

Changes from the last test build.

  • Fixed diplomacy button minidump (i.e. resolved manifest issue).
  • Moons now autodeploy at game start and become a destroyed moon when the base is destroyed
  • Removed research constraints from all moon base prototype upgrades (final upgrades may change)

I'm also working on some things that bother me about the AI that I'm attempting to resolve.

Advent AI fixes:

  • Fix drone hosts spamming mines.
    • Drone host now only has the role of FrigateCarrier is no longer capable of holding mines.
    • A new Drone mine host is added with the MineLayer role.
  • Fixed Suppression drunken sailor targeting
    • Suppression now channels via a callback from the target buff
  • Fixed DisableImmune drunken sailor targeting
    • DisableImmune now channels via a callback from the target buff
    • Changed aiUseTime to Anytime from OnlyInCombat
    • Added aiUseTargetCondition of HullDamageExceedsAmount

Planned AI fixes:

  • AbilityDesignateTarget.entity - Similar changes to Suppression
  • AbilityDisableImmune.entity - Similar changes to Suppression
  • AbilityFinalAttack.entity - Similar changes to Suppression
  • AbilityTransferAntiMatter.entity - Similar changes to Suppression
  • AbilitySlowEnemyHyperspace.entity - Will try to target the Planet or Star then it could fit the Suppression pattern and only one should be required to channel for the effect. 
  • AbilityRepulsionField.entity - Will add target and auto cast conditions and turn on ai usage
  • A dedicated starbase constructor for Vasari that will hopefully allow the AI to build starbases more consistently. I'll leave the starbase construction on the main colony ship for human players.

Hmm. This doesn't give me a lot to go on. What were your 120 ships? What were the Plague ships? Were you near one of their moving star bases? 

The Plague fleet is balanced against TEC towards the weaker end actually though their capital ships do have some good abilities and their star base is pretty good. I find it hard to believe 30-40 ships took out 120 ships without a little more information.

Zombie I'm working on a new ship model, a new Titan model is needed, the current one after much debate with myself is to similar looking in a sense to the main front line battleship. Although I still like the look of the current Titan/Destroyer the new model I'm coming along with looks soooo much better and MEANER looking }:)
