Windows Animations - how?

I expect this will have been asked before, but I wasn't paying attention...

The new skin format allows you to add custom animations. What software do you use to create/edit them?

If it's the file copy/move/etc dialogs, they're in avi format.
Skinstudio has default ones you can insert into a skin, and then use them to get your dimensions.

Jasc's Animation Shop  supports the AVI format.

essorant, you can also do it in a number of other programs, Photoshop & Imageready, FlashMX, ULead GIF Animation 5, and others...

Once you have an ani file in one format you can convert it to another with a number of free utilities on the net.
